Well this probably sets the FairTax back several years. He was next in line to become Chairman of the Ways and means committe, and without him, we have no way of getting it to the floor. He should have stayed on one more term.

I was on a conference call with Mr. Linder a few months ago. He stated that The Fair Tax is no longer dependent upon the support of any one person because it has reached the point of being viral with the large number of supporters.

I can't help but think he will still advocate The Fair Tax with some of his time and obviously will still have many contacts in Washington D.C.

I was on the same conf. call that Dan mentions. Linder knows that the FairTax Movement is bigger than anyone person. He has had secured a prominent place in history with what he has done.

It is up to the rest of us to carry it from here. We do have some great leaders in the Congress who can pick up and run with it.

On another note, I heard that Rep. Steve King may be thinking about running for Gov. of Iowa.

I think Steve King could become the new Sponsor of the FairTax in congress. He would be great. We need Bob VanderPlaats as Governor.

The news today is Charlie Rangel has asked for a "leave of absence" from the Chairmanship of the House Ways and Means Committee until his investigation is completed. The "R" want his out for good!

I was on a conference with Rep. John Linder tonight and he has been talking to other Reps to take over the sponsership of the FairTax. He is looking for someone who is passionate about the Fairtax as he is. He will talking to a few other and will let us know shortly.
