The Kankakee co. Tea Party is hosting the first 11th Congressional Debate on Wed Nov. 11th @ 7:00pm.
- Bourbonnais Community Center, Village of Bourbonnais, 600 Main St NW (RT102), Bourbonnais, IL 60914.
Audience members will get a chance to ask questions.

From August 28th to September 12th, the Tea Party Express bus is touring across the country hosting tea party rallies across America. The "Tea Party Express" tour features leaders in the anti-tax, conservative, tea party movement along with musical performances as well. New Lenox is the only Chicago stop along the way to Washington D.C. for the 9/12/09 National Rally. FOX News is on the bus covering each stop. Let us show them that the citizens of Illinois care, show up. Encourage others to show up as well

Dear Concerned Citizen,

After our successful Joliet Tax Day Tea Party on April 15, the most frequently asked question was "what now." It is no longer a luxury, but necessary that we as citizens act and act now! With this in mind, we are excited to announce "The Joliet Will County Independence Day Rally & Freedom Concert. It will be held July 4th at Pathway Field. The address is 19554 NW Frontage Rd. Shorewood,IL. The time is 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM. We purposely planned it early enough to give you adequate time to proceed with the rest of your July 4th activities.

The event will be a celebration of the liberties that we hold dear as American citizens. Those inalienable rights given to us by our creator. The rights that government is supposed to protect, not infringe upon. We will have speakers addressing our present concerns as well as pointing to solutions. The Freedom Band will be performing live to entertain and encourage you. This is going to be a fun family friendly event. Bring your lawn chair, blanket, lunch, and a friend or neighbor. There will be some food and refreshments available. Our objective is to build that sense of community again. To know each other again. To bond together for the righteous purpose of taking our country back.

On May 18, 2009 I sent to all ILLINOIS REPRESENTATIVES the following fax: I am sending you this fax to ask you to join the team with the CHANGE that will work. This is the Fair Tax (HR25) team. Currently there are 53 representatives signed on board, but none from ILLINOIS. The Fair Tas which is based on a Consumption tax and abolishes the IRS will clearly - 1. Allow American products to compete fairly internationally, which would bring more jobs to the US. 2. Bring transparency and accountability to tax policy. 3. Ensure social security and medicare funding. 4. Close all loopholes and bring fairness to taxation. This is exactly what ILLINOIS needs. If you want to clean up ILLINOIS and ensure our great country and our freedoms, please join this team and bring others with you. Signed Carol Sutton I got one response and not from my own district. All, y'all -

With the so called, "value added tax" recently being considered as a national tax, there is no better time to push for Fairtax with your congressman and senators. The last thing this economy needs is more taxation on top of the current tax structure. However, this crisis can be turned to our advantage. If there is going to be real debate over the VAT, which represents a significant change to our tax structure, then Fairtax has a window of opportunity to be considered as a national alternate tax structure and solution to our debt problems. How much could be saved personally, in business, and a cost savings to John Q Public via the elimination of the IRS. Obama is taking bold steps we are told - why can't this be one of them??

Call your representatives. Pour it on! WE NEED FAIRTAX!!! This is the window of time we have been waiting for!!!!

Stephen Harris hopes the Tea Parties will instigate a real move to get H.R.25 passed. Stephen, you are part of a LARGE crowd. Several people at the Geneva, IL Tea Party (4 pm) had attended the Chicago downtown Tea Party at noon. We need to pass the Fair Tax in order to turn around the incentives given by our tax system. Taxing income encourages spending and debt. Taxing consumption encourages working and saving. Welcome aboard, Stephen!
