Hello all! I am glad to be a part of this! I am the Public Relations Chairman of Coastal Carolina Taxpayers Association (CCTA) supporting Craven, Carteret and Pamilco Counties, NC. We have had a couple of Tea Parties and other events and we meet monthly, every 3rd Thursday, 7:00pm at 322 E. Main Street, Havelock, NC. Everyone is Welcome! I urge all to PLEASE contact your NC Assembly reps and sen's to vote NO on Bill S 966!
They are trying to pass this bill which according to the US Supreme Court, is unconstitional! " violation of the 1st Amendment's protection of political free speech."

This is what they are wanting to do with our tax dollars when we have a $4.6 bil budget short fall as it is right now!
We HAVE to get the idiots "out" and common sense "in," come election time! Unfortunately my senator is the sponsor.... I didn't vote for him- I apoligize anyway!

I believe every state has the right to convene a constitutional convention. The focus of such a convention can be the 10th Amendment. If enough states do this, according to the Constitution, real change can be affected. I agree, wholeheartedly, that this goes hand in hand with the repeal of the 16th amendment and the adoption of the NRST. While we're at it, lets move to repeal the 17th amendment.

While pushing Fair Tax, we also need to bring http://thepatrickhenrycaucus.org/ awareness to our state reps! 10th amendment state's rights. IMO the 2 go hand in hand!
As NC residents, we should NOT be bailing states like CA out, with Fed tax $s- that's being taxed without representation! besides we have our own deficit issues......
Tim Spear (district 2) seems open to it and would like the debate.
Currently H849 is held "hostage" in committee ....something NEEDS to be done about our taxes and state's rights! Change starts at the local level!

We have members of each district group in NC. Are all those members of districts automatically members of the NC FairTax group? We need to grown the NC membership!

David - A class on constitutional studies will be offered on Sat May 23 on the AB Tech Campus. The curriculum comes from the foundation that puts out the 5000 year leap book. I'm going to get all the info and try to get teachers to give extra credit to the kids that go. It costs $10 - a pitance for such valuable material!

Fairtax Rally in Columbia, SC was impressive. However most impressive was the speech Peter Critkos. High school senior that has a handle on how Government should work. We can make this happen!!
DO NOT vote for any one who is NOT supporting Fairtax. Only vote for supporters.

I attended the Tea Party in Raleigh yesterday, I cant help but estimate the turn out at 5 thousand at least. I was also pleased at the support for the Fair Tax there as well, but was also surprised at how many people didn't know what it was. I'm sure that by the time they managed to extricate themselves from my presence they thought I was a TV infomercial sales person, "but wait there's more!". My mother told me I was a very quiet child, and once they got me to talk they haven't been able to shut me up since.

I was actually a little disappointed by the turnout... the event was fantastic though! I really thought that they would have a full house but it was probably only 3/4 full or maybe 2/3... at any rate, I'm ready to get to work here in NC!
