Completely UNTAXES low income families. Still raises the same amount as the current tax system. All federal income tax gone.
Now thats stimulus !!!!! First though we have to figure out how to survive the fiscal changes that the democrats are now imposing on us an my children and grandchildren. I supported Huckabee and Fair Tax in the last election.

Thanks for the bump Billie. fairtax.org has a document "Top 10 reasons Democrats should support the Fair Tax." Can someone come up with something similar for seniors? It would be great for posting at senior centers.

I have been a member of AARP for six years, my husband four. I know I'm really his "Old Lady". All I can say is the magazines gets taken out when they get deep enough.

I am a member of AARP. It's important to know the positions of influential organizations. Best way is to "keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

Dave, I think your senior citizen centers target is a good one. Is there any way we can get in touch with the various groups for a discussion?

I have not joined AARP because I thought they were using membership money to lobby for a liberal agenda. However they have thousands of members and if we could get their endorsement we would probably pick up a huge group of supporter. But what about senior centers? Almost all towns and cities have them. Can we pass out or leave literature there, pointing them in this direction?

The AARP insurance program for Medigap is one that the medical profession loves because they pay or not but notify in a timely manner.

AARP is a useless organization for anyone, never mind seniors. I was a member for a few years and they did nothing for me that any other group couldn't do. My life membership in the VFW was far more beneficial than the AARP was. They are a fraud and a waste of money. Do not join AARP!
They are USELESS!!!!. They only care about you if you send in your money. They are a fraud!
