Thanks. I am getting familiar with it and am very excited about being involved. Huckabee rocks!
  • Chrissie Rider

Dave, Thanks for the welcome. I don't know how involved I can be, but maybe there is a nitch for me somewhere. I appreciate your initiative to get things changed. I will invite supporters to join this site.
  • Jim kenny

  • Phil Claypool

Thanks for the invite, For a while I am on oxygen, and the portable tank may not last as long as a trip to Cincy, but maybe Thurs in Fairborn is doable.
    Good luck withnthe meeting tonite.
  • Ruth Ann Stewart

    Hi Dave,
I thought it was a great meeting last night too. Going over the presentation was a nice way to break the ice. We seem to have a good group of people to work with.
  • Ruth Ann Stewart

Thanks for the compliment on the picture. I have lots more pictures of my puppy than I do of me, and the puppy is much cuter anyway :-)
  • Roger A. Heath

Hi Dave, here we are again. Hope this has linked us as friends.
Got to go outside and freeze for a bit but will roam around the site later. Fortunately Nation uses the same base organization as ZAP so maybe one day I will become fluent in this language.

    Roger

Thanks, Dave. I agree...the "pre-tax" idea is great. I am part of a national financial professionals organization and will feel out some of the leaders of the local board to see what they think about the FairTax. Maybe they already know about it. Is the next meeting scheduled for Feb. 9th? Same place and time?
  • John Oxendine

    Dave:

An honor to be a part of the effort. I am at your service.

    John
  • Phyllis Reed

Thanks for the welcome. Looking forward to hearing from more people.
  • Jim Tomasik

I found it and have sent it in for a price. I am having the detailing of it cleaned up as well.

    Thanks Jim
  • Jim Tomasik

It's gonna snow ball sooner or later. I'm ready to start firing people up to do some commercials.
  • Dr. Bill Smith / Ozark Guru

Dave, I will check out his Ken's propsed plan or try to call him. By the way, I am also a Buckeye - born to Irish coal mining family in Woodfield, Oh (Monroe County). Was taken away at about age three and adopted and raised in another state. Thus the name Smith verse my birth names Stewart and Huggins. Bill

We also have a great number of state leaders joining the site along with the Houston leadership. We have done what they did in 4 months in less than 4 weeks. This is because we look for others tallents and use them effectively. We are also actually tackling real problems like straightening out the grass roots leadership roles which have been a mess for years and preparing to go into the weaker states to build a force there as well.

We have gotten Ken Hougland to put the list 'under construction' until we get it straight.

Our site looks more professional and is more in line with FairTax.org.

I could go on and on but I won't. As you can see, I am very proud of FairTax Nation and the advocates we have working on this site.
  • Bob Whigham

    Will do Dave. Thanks.
  • Dr. Bill Smith / Ozark Guru

As requested, sent a note to Ken today. I did tell him that I understood that he might not wish to answer until after the election for the RNC Chair.
  • Andy Stamas

    Dave,
I appreciate you thinking of me to lead the FairTax group in the Cincy area but I cannot at this time. I will attend as many monthly meetings and participate as much as possible.
    -Andy
  • Steve Curtis

    Dave,
Do you know who is still active from the list on the Ohio FairTax page that Marilyn posted? I thought I recalled you saying we had some folks interested in starting groups in other locations, and I wanted to get a better idea of who that might be.
    Steve
  • Steve Curtis

Also, how did you modify the color scheme for you page? Looks much better then mine.
  • Dennis Keller

Thanks for the Welcome Dave. I will encourage all of the South Carolina supporters I can to join this group and participate.

What's the relationship or lack of, with the Zap site? This seems like a much better put together site and more tied into things but I hope that we're not losing that group that has joined the Zap site, are you aware of how John H. and others over there feel about things? I'm sure they are disappointed, but are they willing to join up and move on or are they going to try to maintain that site also? Just curious, Thanks Again
    Talk to you soon. Dennis
  • Jim Tomasik

He had three or four several memberships. I cancelled some of them because I am nutty about keeping an acurate count of members.

I called him and talked to him a few minutes ago and I think we have him straight now. I told him he was always still on FTN.

If he needs to he can contact me again.

    Jim
  • Billie

HI Dave, now we have a Dayton Mall group, please join.
  • Billie

I used the list on FairTax Nation and then called Steve. He said "They are on my list" I said "Send me your list". Now I have twice as many names so I will be calling folks today and adding information. Jim Kenny says he has about 400 people to add to FairTax from people that he has had sign his sheet. There are a lot of people that like FairTax, and I am so glad we have found a way to get them connected. Some one added Sean Currie as a District Director so maybe we can get a group going there. Barb said "Our group will go 4 hours to help get a group started". So you can count on us.
  • Billie

Come on Dave, think big. We have over 30 District Directors and Community Coordinators. Once we unite 306 will be nothing. Keep in there we will win.
  • Scott Bankston

Thank You for the welcome. Yes, I would like to meet people around here. We live next to the Pa line. About 3 miles from my house.
  • Beryl Nichols

Thanks for your warm welcome. You're right Barbara is great. I got a chance to drive Barbara & Marilyn to the convention Macinac Island last year. Both are the best of the best and a pleasure to work with.
  • Barbara Wilson

I sent out reminders to all about all our meetings.
I"m out of town and do not have my list with me. I will however, send another reminder out on Sun eve when I am back in town. I will forward the list to you on Sun so you willl have it on hand.
  • Jim Tomasik

The site seems to be running slow today. Not sure why. I have been able to log in without the ning though...

are you still having problems with it?
  • Jim Tomasik

    Its a group effort...
  • Marilyn Rickert

Thanks Dave! You are doing a great job too!

I will be in DC for CPAC from Feb. 24 through March 1. If you could welcome our new members and keep an eye on things for me that would be wonderful!

    Thanks,
    Marilyn
  • Colin Ashley

Hi Dave. Michelle and I are moving back to Cincinnati in March so I've put the second Monday in April into my diary. Looking forward to it!
  • Billie

Hi Dave, I did not find a delete on events. So that is why we added the correction. Please delete the Signature listing. It is at Roush's this month. Billie
  • Frank Gilbert

Hi Dave, I just looked on the events calendar and it has been fixed to reflect the corrected time and place. I had Barbara fix it for me as my internet was down for several days. But now, I'm back!!!!
  • Billie

Hi Dave we have a Cincinnati group. Please join. Billie
  • Philip A. Reed

Hello Dave, thanks! I'd like to see an educational TV promotion of the Fairtax on network stations during primetime to help the American public understand the truth about it! I believe our economy needs it & a larger "grassroots effort" may convince our polititions to start the remedy. I agree Zach is a good man, & my Son-n-law! God bless you! Phil
  • Huckapedia

    Hi Dave,
Thanks for the message. If you can make it to the Ohio Fair Tax HuckPAC house party on 2/26/09 that will be great. If not, yes I will forward you meeting minutes from the event. Looking foward to meeting you sometime.

If you have any questions please feel free to email me at: vote4mikehuckabee@gmail.com

  • Jim Tomasik

that was all I had time to list.... feel welcome to add to the list in comments.
  • Danny Higgins

Hey Dave, we still could use your daughters help on the web team if she is available. It is a volunteer basis though, from you origninal message I could not tell if that is what she would be interested in doing. Please let me know and I will call her, if so. thanks
  • Danny Higgins

LOL, sorry bout that Dave, Yes I did. Too many daves on this site.ha. Again sorry, yes. Please email me your contact details at fairtaxindiana@gmail.com and we will get you on the web team. Thank you so much for joining the team and helping out. My brain has been functioning at a very low level these past couple of days for some reason...
  • Maggie Mae

  • Steve Curtis

Thanks. Of course, as soon as we finished, I thought of a couple of points that I "should have" gotten in, but Brian kept it moving pretty fast. Not much time to think about what to say.
  • John P. Kuchta, Jr.

Thanks, Dave, if you'd like a copy of the letter that I sent to President Obama this past Monday that borrowed from the FAIR TAX, just email me direct at combatcoatings@aol.com.
  • Huckapedia

Hi Dave, It was really great to talk with you last night at the HuckPAC House party. Everybody there had so many interesting stories to listen too. It was a great first meeting. I'm working on tabulating meeting minutes from the party. I'll send them out to everyone and I'm sure there are things I missed, so I'll get some responses to add a few things and then we can publish the report.

This is so exciting. Mike Huckabee really knows how to get his fans energized. It will be so great to see him nailing the going out of business sign on the IRS and make April 15th just another great spring day.

    Thanks,
    Tony Fatica (aka - Huckapedia)

Thank you for responding to the state problem so quickly! Jody
  • Jeanna Field

Thank you for your offer of additional information. I was writing a term paper that was comparing Obamas plan, the current tax plan, and the FairTax. We all know who came out on top. This is actually the fourth term paper for an economics class that I have written on the FairTax, and I get 100's every time. I think it is a testament to the brilliance ofhe plan, not for my writing skill! We need to get this passed. I tell everyone that I can.
  • Pat Conroy

Sure. The person I dealt with there is Ryan (Ryan Buchanan ). You can order any 2-line stamp for $8.99 plus $3.95 shipping. He agreed to make it an even $10 for the one they have featured. If you order 2 stamps, it would actually be less than $20.
  • carol sutton

Thank you for your response. I got on the blog site and asked everyone to visit www.recovery.gov and leave a nice comment to Obama as to why the Fair Tax Bill is the Change we need. I hope everyone floods this site with convincing comments, maybe he will listen. Carol Sutton
  • Mary Swint

Way ahead of you Dave! I've also joined the Fair Tax group on Facebook. I hope to really get more involved after the end of this month so be looking for me out there. Everyone knows this country needs change, let's make sure we are making the right changes starting with our tax structure.
