I just posted a banner that should work in color or mono ink. It is in the photos section. What do you think?

Jim: I believe I have someone to help you with your request for a radio volunteer. Pleae contact me at rwvllowry@mindspring.com or
    call 38-447-0796.

I would really enjoy going to meetings to support the issue, but Florida is separated into basically 2 regions. I live in the Panhandle or Emerald Coast area and it always seems that meetings, etc occur around Tampa, Orlando or Miami vicinity, any plans for us 'northeners'?
  • Oliver (Ollie) Johnson

Jim, Thanks for the invitation. If you look at the New York list, I am the 3rd one.

By the way, I am a senior, and am organizing a course for Lifetime Learning Institute (LLI) at Bard College this spring on the general topic of "Investigating Economics", in which the FairTax will be aired. It is members only. However, we may have a chance to video it for other uses.

I'm looking forward to using the economic meltdown as an opportunity to garner huge support in NY for the FairTax. Glad to be on the same team.

Jim I saw you were talking about hand-outs. Check with Barb Wilson in Ohio. She has the best collect around. Billie in Beavercreek

Gov. Mike Huckabee is promoting the FairTax again. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,486971,00.html

Thanks Jim. I have missed out on this site until today. I am out from under the eather now. Thanks again for your words of support.
  • Billie

Hi Jim, over at Zap the IRS most people put down where they are located. On FairTax we are not getting last names, states, or cities for the most part. Can you do anything about that? I don't have time to see who is from Ohio. And those are the ones I like to greet. Billie in Beavercreek
  • Ken Neikirk

    Thanks for the welcome Jim.

I saw Mike Huckabee's note this morning for the Fair Tax and he mentioned that there were big plans for April 15th. Any details available?

If there ever was a time for the Fair Tax it is now. Of course, our President and Congress are not conducive to it passing now, but this could be a Contract With America kind of moment for the Fair Tax.

FTN Postcard.doc Jim, take a look at this Post Card "doc" I am on the chat page. Let me know what you think.

    Thanks Jim,

For the invite, I signed up for Ky group... this is going to be exciting to follow...the site is incredible!
  • Jessie Willoughby

    Tom,
Thanks for the welcome! We are excited to encourage others to join us. We have been giving CDs to everyone we can as we go throughout our day (restaurants, grocery stores, etc). We also have a sign in our yard and a placard in our window. We are praying for a very successful month for us FairTaxers!!

    Again, thanks for the welcome,
    Jessie

    Jim,

There is a site called imeem.com that allows you to arrange your own playlists and then post them wherever you choose. Works great for us, and its free!
  • Ryan

Thank you very much. I've been an advocate of the FairTax for several years now and am looking forward to spreading the message further!

Hi Jim, I have joined the Washington group and started sending out emails to others. Already getting a little action. One thing that would be nice, is if we can somehow make the bill a little more obvious on the homepage. I have had a few people mention that they are having a hard time finding the details when they visit the websites.
  • Matt Nelson

how can I place the button for fairtax nation on myspace profile? I tried and cannot figure it out. I am less computer literate than my age would suggest.
  • steve pendergrast

    Hi Jim,
I have joined the Alabama and the Marshall County Fairtax groups and already talking to possabile new members to attend our next meeting.
    nice to hear from you.

  • Kurt Thoss

I am reluctant to add my name, etc., to anything because I'm afraid I'll be back at what I'm trying to get away from: countless emails every day, mostly copies of something that someone sent commenting on something that someone else sent.
  • Matt Nelson

so I am not sure about face book but I did figure out how to place the link on myspace. First click the link on your FTN page once it is loaded onto you computer a code will appear highlight the code then copy it by right clicking it on your mouse. then go the your myspace page under edit profile and somewhere like favorite books or movies or hero section you can paste it. I applied it to my books right next to my mention of the fairtaxbook.
  • Babs Utley

I sent out 164 invitations. Hope it makes a difference.
  • Kathy Campbell

    Thanks for your welcome!

I found your site through Michael Savage radio show. His website http://michaelsavage.wnd.com/ referenced this article, WHY ARE WE BANKRUPT? by Don Lavetter http://www.alipac.us/ftopict-145805.html which at the bottom, it gives a link to your website. So if you see extra visits to your site tonight, it might just be because of both of these men.
  • Colin Ashley

Thanks Jim. Love the Johnny Cash tune!
  • Robert Steele

    Thanks Jim.
  • Billie

HI JIm, we found Gary Clark has joined FairTax Nation twice. He is in OH. I checked with Steve and we do not know how to remove him or merge him. Billie
  • Huckapedia

    Hi Jim,

My handle is "Huckapedia" and my name is Tony Fatica. I go by "Huckapedia" often as I am a big fan of Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee. The name "Huckapedia" stems from his last name. It's like Wikipedia or Encyclopedia.

The Fan club that I started for Mike Huckabee is:
    http://www.freewebs.com/huckapedia/index.htm

On 2/26/09 I plan on having a HuckPAC "House Party" in South Lebanon, Ohio. Situated between Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio. We will be receiving a DVD from Governor Huckabee and will discuss the Fair Tax system. I listed this party on the Fair Tax web site. Hope we get others to join the party.

The Fair Tax system is exactly what America needs.

    Thanks,
    Huckapedia
  • Billie

Thanks. Can Gary put two e-mail addresses on on site? Billie

    Hi, Jim:
I've invited several friends by forwarding your invitation to me. I'm impressed with the site and look forward to keeping up as best I can. I hope to be able to contribute in whatever ways I can. It will be limited to time and correspondence, and perhaps some effort to help coordinate if possible. Thanks for the invitation.

    David
  • Michael Johnson

    Thanks Jim,
I have the "Fair Tax" Yard sign and the bumper stickers. It has beed a long year and I hope we can make lots more progress this year. Will this site have fax's that we can sent to our Reps asking them to support the "Fair Tax".
    Mike
  • Dave Sibole

Only 16 states have members. Wow I thought sure it was more than that. We have a lot of work to do.

    Yep -

I'm the Blue Collar Muse. Since it sounds like that is a good thing in your estimation, I'll be happy about it. But I reserve all rights to repudiate my online identity should it prove detrimental ... one can never be too careful these days.

Glad to meet you and to be a part of this group. Looking forward to pushing FT and getting people talking.

I heard on the Big Talker radio station in Wilmington that there may be buses coming to the April 15th rally in Columbia, SC. Hope that comes to fruition. I just caught the tail end of it yesterday but I am sure that Curtis Wright will follow up. It is time to shut down the IRS and all the loop holes and bring in the tax revenues from ALL the people. I realize that I have sat complacently for too long. Jeanne

Jim. Is FairTax Nation a part of FairTax.org? The reason I ask is that I make a monthly contribution to FairTax.org and want to make sure we are not being splintered by to many independant groups. Of course every supporter we get is needed, but I think our power will come from a united front of millions of FairTax advocates that is why I give to FairTax.org.
    Thanks for your dedication
    Bobby O.
  • Jeffrey Locke

How do I responsibly delete only one membership? has this been done by others besides me? Or am I the only member to double up like this? Am I unique in this?
  • Larry Stewart

Jim - I hear you are doing a great job here. Thanks for all you do!! - LS
  • Adrian Messer, Jr.

I am pleased to continue standing up for the FairTax. As a "Boomer" I have seen many pendulum swings of our society and economy. I am seriously worried about the future of our Nation and how it will impact my Grandkids, kids. We still have "one person-one vote" and need to keep moving forward. I view adoption of the FairTax as providing the best hope for future generations.
  • Kendall Mickley

Thanks for the note, I'm excited to be a member. The FairTax seems to be the ultimate stimulus package this country needs.
  • Floyd Mackey

I am not a GURU when it comes to the PC and not good at putting words to gether. I have been around the Fair Tax now about 4 yrs and I see it coming together and I want to help were ever I can. Like I said I am not good at putting words together but I can do leg work. Lets get this on the move I know that we can do it. But the first thing we need to do is to come into agreement with the program. One thing that would help is for us to work the (Secert) it works if we work it. If you don`t know about it go to the Secert on the web, they have a web page it shows what needs to be done. LOL Floyd

    Jim,
Please take a look at the Florida State Group site and the comments from Linda about removing the Post Card Program.

I believe there is some misunderstanding of the IRS requirements and how the FFTEA group should have effects on FTN.

Please let me know your thoughts.
  • Laura McCue

Jim, two questions. What have I done wrong in the the NC District 11 Group is not showing up on the page with all the other NC District groups?
Also, I have visited and commented on Shock and Awe several times regarding tomorrow's petition drive at Walmarts but no one ever answers. Did you manage to get this going across the nation? We have a table tomorrow at the Walmart in Asheville near the airport and I wanted to know how we will assign them a temporary or same password when we sign them up using the info they put on the petition sign up sheet. Give me some guidance as to how this is going to work.
  • Laura McCue

Jim, I gave a FT presentation at a supporters home last night and he mentioned that both he and his wife wanted to sign up on FT nation but since they share an email address, they could only sign up once. If we are looking for numbers on the site, is there some way to correct this limitation?
So far, everyone who has signed up has been pleased with the site. I am blown away at how fast the membership is growing. Are you going to attend either of the rallies scheduled in April in SC and FL? I will be at the SC rally for sure. Also see my note below in need of answers to questions.
  • Enrique "Rick" Rodriguez

    Jim,

Great job to get the interview with Rep. King. What can we do to get it out to the general public? Keeping this type of support to ourselves only lifts our enthusiasmn when we really need every voter to know.
  • Bob Scarborough

Jim, Thanks for your great work at CPAC. Super Fantastic interview.... Bob
  • Brandon Landgard

Yes, Dali is one of my favorite artisits. Continue to spread the word and talk about the FairTax. People need to be aware.
  • Enrique "Rick" Rodriguez

    Jim,
I contacted Rep. Steve King's Washington office and obtained the the e-mail address for his Legislative Director, Bentley Graves. The e-mail address is : bentley.graves@mail.house.gov. I know that the Congressman would appreciate a phone call from those taking he time to do so. However, the majority of people would prefer the most expedient, convenient and less expensive route and e-mail him. The important objective is making the contact with his office and the more options we make available, the more response we will affect.

BTW, his washington Office number is 202-225-4426 and his fax number is 202-225-3193

Please disseminate the name and numbers to all in our FairTax Nation network of supporters.

    Thanks,

    Rick Rodriguez, Volunteer DD FL07
Board Member of Florida FT Education Assoc, Inc.
  • Marilyn Rickert

I agree, on not adding more to the front page -- unless there is an out cry from the members.

    Marilyn
  • Laura McCue

Jim, other than entering a message as an event, how do I write something or copy and paste something into an area like this and send it to everyone on my FT email list, not everyone who is a friend on FTN or a member of my group? It seems that I either run into a problem of not enough space to write a long entry or no ability to import my list of email addresses from a word document. The import works when I invite to an event. Complicated, I know but its important! Hope things are going well. I am so impressed at the number of people who have joined FTN!
  • Dustin

The possibilty exists that they woudl be stopped, although I can't help but to think that thousands of tea bags being stopped would still be reported on.

regardless, I like the idea of sending pictures of the Boston Tea Party even more. I will consider printing some or having post cards made.
