FairTax Nation a site designed and managed by FairTax volunteers to serve the needs of FairTax advocates by providing a place to share ideas, find resources and create new opportunities with the goal of passing the FairTax HR 25.
On Nation we are working on many projects. One is our 50 State Campaign. We want to link at least 1,000 active volunteers in each state to work together in a national effort to pass the FairTax. That would give us at least 50,000 active volunteers able to communicate, plan events, etc. I know some people want a FairTax rally in Washington D.C. This is how we build the organization to make this event and many others possible.
Please feel free to invite your FairTax friends to join us.
I live in MN, I am not going to DC. I would be willing to set up and man a booth at the Co fair(Houston, Filmore, Olmstead and or Winona), and/or St fair. I would like to attend, or organize local rallies, I just need some contacts to other motivated people in the area. I am related to a large population in this area and can sway a fair sum of that relation, most of whom are conservatives who dont make waves. I am ready to push for the fairtax, I have read about it and I feel the time will be right if we can get the proper people in position to push it up.
I'm pretty new here myself but the support has been phenomenal. I'm in Ohio and these guys have worked hard to get me started in my area. Most of them live about 3 hours from me. My first Fair Tax meeting will be taking place in early May and thanx to FTN, I've some other irons in the fire as well to promote the Fair Tax. You've come to the right place.
I looked up Minnesota Tea Parties and I found a site easily that provides a link to find tea parties in your area. There a quite a few in your state.
A leader in my state put me in contact with aFair Tax community coordinator via this site. Swapped numbers, I contacted her re getting some literature for me to distribute in my town. I couldn't drive clear down to where she is, but she has a son that lives 45 min. from me.
Long story short, I called, met with her (delightful meeting), got the lit and was on my way. She gave wonderful ideas and tips which I have been following up on. She said it's very important to start monthly meetings. She suggested the library because it's free. Put the meeting info in the events section of your local newspaper, that's free, too.
I'm also trying to get the Columbus Tea Party to have the lone Fair Tax congressman in Ohio to speak at that tea party. Haven't got word back yet, but I'm working on it. I contacted the said rep. and they want an invite.
These are things you can get to work on. You sound enthusiastic and ready to go. That's great! I don't know who will contact you from here in your state; you may have to be the one to get the ball rolling there. Be sure to contact Marylin Rickert. Phone her. She's the regional director, I think they call it.
Oh, and call your post office and see if you and your wife can pass out lit on the 15th. Marylin can probably tell you more about this.
Keep in touch. You'll do great. Wish you here in Ohio 'cause I'd find places for you to speak!
