    Hello Barbara,

Welcome to the site! We hope to make 2009 a great year for FairTax and I look forward to working with all you folks in Ohio.

Please pass the word around to other FairTaxers about this site.

    Thanks,

    Jim

Hey Barb. Thanks for joining. You attending the Beavercreek meeting Monday?
  • Marilyn Rickert

    Hi Barbara!
Welcome to FairTax Nation! My hope is we can work together to pass the FairTax ASAP. If you have ideas, suggestions on how we get this done please feel free to share. We want this group to be active and engaged.
    Happy New Year!
    Marilyn Rickert
  • Bob Whigham

I'll be there. We can go over the presentation. Do you think Steve will join us? He prepared the presentation a few years ago. I added a few slides and some editing. Would love to discuss with him.
  • Lonnie Daniels

Thanks for the information, I will try to attend the next meeting.
  • Diane Carter

I'm sorry that I have a previous committment this month but I will try to get to the February one. Thanks!
  • Tony

    Hey Barbara
Already working on videos, e-mail lists, the grass roots movement here in Oklahoma as well as on my state congressman who do not co-sponsor the FairTax. Expect me to be around A LOT!!!! ;)

    FairTax 09 :)
  • Steve Curtis

    Barbara,
If you look at the list of leaders posted by Marilyn on this site, can you tell who is active versus "out of date".
    Everyone says you "know everyone!!"
  • Billie

Hi Barb, now we have a Dayton Mall group, please join.
  • Steve Curtis

    Barbara,
Have yo useen to post by Ruth Ann Stewart. She is involved in graphics design and said she could provide things like decals "at cost". I don't know if she'd be a good source for stuff, but you could touch bases with her and see if it'd help stretch funds.
  • Dave Sibole

I sent Susan Bradley, Ruth Ann Stewart, Jenn (in Ky) and Andy reminders of the meeting Monday evening. If you have names of others please send them a reminder. or send me the contact information please.

    Dave
  • Billie

Hi Barb, Dave started a Senior group and there is a Ways and Means group. Check them out. Billie
  • Billie

Barb while you are check out the other two groups we now have a Cincinnati group. Join up girl. Billie
  • Ross Pleiman

Thank you Barb. Not many people are as fortunate right now as I am to take a vacation (and that is what it is). I hope that all goes well and I will keep you, Bob, and Sue up to date with my travels.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

    Hi Barb,
Dave Sibole mentioned that you might have Fair Tax literature. I'm in need of pamphlets, fliers, or something. I would gladly purchase some from you if you have some available. I have got to get the word out in my small city. Please let me know. I'm new here so please be patient with me while I learn how everything works.
  • Pilgrim Proost

Thanks for joining FTIC, Barbara. We are still developing the idea, so any input you have is welcome
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

    Hi, Barbara

Tried to call you at the 937 number but for some reason an automated voice tells me the call didn't go through and to please try again. I'll try again later. Plain City is easy for me to get to and I am familiar with the area.
  • Jennifer

Please let me know how to join the KY organization. I thought I had joined when I went to the Tea Party but have heard nothing from them.
I am interested in the event on the 18th. I am going to the FairTax Rally on the 11th in Jacksonville, then at the very least I plan to hand out FairTax fliers at the Nandino Blvd PO on the 15th. Any FairTaxers who want to join me please let me know!!
    Thanks, Jenn
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Got my first meeting date! It's May 7 @ 7 pm at our local library. Going to see if I can figure out how to add it to the events section on FTN.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

You inspired, me, Barb. I just had to meet up with the right people and thanx to Dave, there you were!
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Could you give me an example of a Fair Tax meeting event for the events section in the newspaper? Thanx!
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

I'll bug you to no end! This question is about downloadable tri pages offered here at FTN. I can't afford the software to enable me to download. Is it available in an Adobe PDF format?
  • Sean Fagan

    Hi Barbara,

Jim Tomasik told me in chat yesterday evening that you could use some help entering new sign-ups. I would be happy to lend a hand. You can contact me either by email or call me at 904-829-0539.
  • Randy Smith

Were I living in the area I'd step right up to help.

    Good luck,

    Randy
  • Randy Smith

Good morning!! Thank you for your suggestion, and I'm already belong to the Ohio group and am looking forward to being active locally to promote the Fair Tax. At the moment I'm reading the No IRS book, and several PDFs I printed from the site. I'm an avid scuba diver and have discussed the Fair Tax with a few other divers and they had some really good questions, mostly about hot the Fair Tax affects business. I couldn't answer so I'd better do more reading. Some of the hurdles to passing this bill were discussed and were quite valid. One big concern is the battle we'll have with the established power base concerning how the IRS is now used as a tool for intimidation and how the IRS is used as law enforcement when no other way for capturing a crook is available. Those are a couple powerful issues we'll have to overcome in my opinion.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Barb, I got the DVD today! Thank you so very much! I worked the polls here today and I'm bone tired, but the check will be in the mail tomorrow. Thanks, again Barb. You're terrific!
  • Billie

Hi Barbara, go to "The House Ways and Means" and read the comments. Billie
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Please say a prayer or wish me well, or both, for my meeting tonight! I'm a little nervous, but I'll be ok.
  • Billie

Just wanted to let you know you missed a very good FairTax meeting Wednesday at the Miami Twp Library on Lyons Rd. Bill Sanders came all the way from Lexington, KY to be a part of our meeting. We have so much going on for FairTax we would love for you to be a part of our movement. We will be having another meeting on the second Tuesday (May 12) in Beavercreek at Beef O'Brady's and at the Sharonville Library in Cincinnati. Hope you can join us. Billie in Beavercreek
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

How many do we have so far, for the charter bus? Do we have enough yet? I'm just anxious to know. I think I'll develop a plan B, just in case.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

    Hi Barb

Are you going to the meeting with Sen. Brown's staff?
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

    Hello again

You mentioned yesterday that you might call Josh Gregg. Wanted to tell you I think that's a good idea. He'll benefit by speaking with someone with more experience than I have. He's a good kid and knows the Fair Tax inside and out.
  • Dave Sibole

All of your and Jack's hard hard work work is surely appreciatd. It would be pretty boring without you. Plus your organizational skill amaze me. You're appreciated.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Barbara, I can't find that 2009 prebate schedule that I saw on FTN from your computer. Can you tell me where it's located here? I know it's here somewhere!

I googled the library and several came up. Do you have an address?
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Barb, you getting my messages ok? Just checking. You'll be bringing literature to Aug 1 Tea Party, right? We won't be allowed to sell anything there, only pass out literature & get petitions signed.
