Jim, something I need help understanding... taxation at the 'retail' level. If a manufacturer purchases many different components to build a finished good, the item is not taxed until the FINAL product is completed and sold to the enduser, correct?

What about items which are consumed by the manufacturer in the creation of these items? such as glues and whatnot? Or as one person used as an example for me, yeast in beer. His example was that yeast dies in the beer and it makes the manufacturer the 'enduser' of the yeast. Does the beer manufacturer then pay the tax, or does it still wait until the beer is purchased by and enduser? I have many more related questions and I'm not sure where to send them.

I currently sell to companies are tax exempt on some purchases because they are used for R&D. Will that still apply, or will they begin paying tax?

    Jim
I like to share with all of you as we are all working to change the way we are taxed.
FairTaxSOWEGA has reached a mile stone in 4 months as we had first Fla. Whip Party implement our website with theirs and second we hit 1000 followers on our twitter site . This means we three website spurs have affected 4000 people who want change in our government in how we are taxed. Thanks for your group in all you are doing to get the word out and know you have another FairTax group reaching out too.
    Thanks
    Charlie

Yes, we will use the FTN sign up sheet at the FT table. Definitely. Hope it happens across the nation. I will be in Columbia for the Save the Nation rally. What will you be doing?
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

I'm thrilled that your Tea Party was a success! My mom's a Democrat and she was right there with me in Col. Oh. working the crowd. Truly a non partisan, American effort!
  • Bernie Valentine

Jim....Didn't get to go to any of the Tea Party's; unfortunately I don't have much time between, my job ....and my web work, etc. I do strongly support the Fair Tax concept and have already started promoting it in my work.

FTN new member list-2.xls Jim, there were a couple of spreadsheet layouts used. I combined the five sheets into one and deleted those that did not have e-mail info and corrected some typos. The spreadsheet has over 800 names. Convio has already received these names through other channels. Therefore it will not provide "new" names to AFFT from FTN. In the future, I am working on getting them to you and have them show up to AFFT as "new" people. This will get Ken and Leo on board even more!
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Jim, I'm a tad concerned about the "Big Medicine" blog on FTN. Probably worrying for nothing, but I was afraid that comments could become very partisan as the topic maybe a little too far removed from Fair Tax. Just an FYI.
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

Jim, I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your FairTax work. I read your posts and I'm always encouraged and inspired! Thank you!
  • Nancy L. Gatchel

BTW, do you recall that portion of a letter signed by Pelosi, Rangel, and others, sent to Pres. Bush regarding simplifying the tax code? Do you remember where that's posted on FTN? I'm still very much interested in that letter and would like to find it in a PDF format so that I can copy it off.
  • Jamie Wheeler WA

Please zip me an e-mail when they are sent so I can have an idea when to expect them. Excited and nervous...sure hope this event will be the first of many! GO FairTax!!!!
  • Paul Wizikowski

How far are you from Nashville?

    Paul W.
  • Paul Wizikowski

I'll be in Nashville this Mon & Tues. Shooting with the TEA parties and American Liberty Alliance. Thought if you were close we could meet.

    Paul W.
  • Sean Fagan

Jim - if you don't mind, I'd like to know how this goes. I have an idea or two that I'd like to get your thoughts on before I pass them on to Paul.

I'm thinking in terms of those 30 second "sound bites" that Sharron from NV asked about during our conversation with her. More later...
  • Laura McCue

Jim, glad you have them cause this chart is hard to find on the internet. I can't even figure out how to get to it from the AFFT website. That's why I sent the url out again so supporters could make copies for handout. Hope all is well. I am looking forward to speaking to the crowd at the Asheville Tea party on the 4th!
  • Laura McCue

Hey, has anyone forwarded a good 5-10 minute speech that I could make so I don't have to reinvent my own?
  • Anthony

Good to see you Jim. Last time was on the Fair Tax Groups site. I am glad we are still fighting for the FairTax.
  • Paul Goertz

I love your site Jim. And thanks for what you are doing for our country. Paul, A Fellow Patriot
  • Laura McCue

Jim, go to www.goooh.com and you can read all about it. You can also order the book there if you want to read it. I want to read the book but frankly the info you need is on the site.
  • Laura McCue

Jim, it was good to talk with you on the phone the other day. It had been some time hadn't it? I just received a box of 49 GOOOH books that I am going to share with clients and friends just like I share the FairTax book.
  • Lynn Moss

What a stately picture of you, Jim!
  • Lynn Moss

    Yes, you are stately indeed.
  • donna

    Jim,

    Donna
  • donna

  • donna

    Jim we have between
50 and 60 people going from NJ support is growing we may have more
  • Laura McCue

Jim, I really want to hook you and Tim Cox, the founder of GOOOH.com, up together. Two good men who have each founded something strong and important should get to know each other and see how they might support the ideas. Tim will be speaking in Tennessee on the 9th and conducting a mock selection process. It would be good for you to be able to participate if you are nearby. Here are the details. Tim plans to call you.
    Wednesday, September 9
    6:30pm Tennessee - GOOOH Presentation, 6:30pm – 9:00pm
1403 Oak Ridge Turnpike Oak Ridge, TN (map)
    Oak Ridge Community Center
    Contact Info: DHAndrew@chartertn.net (Andy)
  • Laura McCue

And so what do you think about GOOOH and how it might help America to have the FairTax?
  • Laura McCue

So glad to hear that you like the GOOOH idea! It hardly seems possible not to be interested in it since so many GOOOH participants like the FairTax. I see it as a way to make the FairTax happen much more quickly than I believe possible given the current disdain our elected officials are showing for the wishes of their constituents. It has made many feel more than ever that they would never really let the FairTax pass even if they are a current co-signer. I really encourage you to go to the Mock Selection session because that is when you will really see how it can and will work. Then you might want to promote the idea on FTN more.
  • Billie

Hi Jim, when we post a comment it is not being e-mailed to us. Why? Billie in Beavercreek
  • Billie

O.K. that is great. Thanks. Billie
  • kimberly cull

Somehow--the ability to delete that photo is not in my realm of comprehension--email me at kimberlycull_md@yahoo.com and /or check out my other profile on this site under kimberly jo cull--see I am just not good with details---:) Maybe in another lifetime things will improve---
  • Kenneth R. Wade

I'm having a hard time finding where on this site we can sign up for the bus from Knoxville, TN area that I was advised had been organized. Any help in finding that is appreciated.

    Hi Jim,
Phil has a space in his lodging for me. 4 guys in 2 queen beds. THat will be fun, but with my rotator cuff surgery, i don't move much. So far he has no space in his vehicle. I still need a ride & hope that between the two of you I will find one. I am 6'4" tall, but not a wide body! Will carry a FairTax sign or two. I will need to thin down the wood shaft. Let me know if you find a ride. I can meet the caravan at exit 407, Sevierville on I-40. That is just past Knoxville.
    Thanks for the call. Ken
  • Kenneth R. Wade

Do we need to make appointments with Members of Congress or will we just see who can see us?
    Ken
  • Charlie Prochaska

    Hi Jim
A couple weeks you asked if I was going to Washington on 9-11. After I had to get some issues taken care of..............
I am happy to let you know I will be going and with the Ga 9th District. I will represent our group, FairTaxSOWEGA. So I will be there and see you there too. I will be happy to meet and talk with you.
  • Charlie Prochaska

    Jim
    1st
    Thank You
Suzanne and I thought this one through. Yes this event is very important and I want to thank you for thinking about bringing it to life. It is more important for this to happen than any other time. This should show people across this nation we are who we are and we stand united alone without other organization to "crutch" us.
With F/TSWG efforts in opening the doors of Washington through a congressman who no matter thought we were nothing, He stand for any issues that Obama wants and vote for any issue Obama wants passed. To use his office, to try to gain support one congressman at a time in supporting a Blue Dog Democrat, F/T Org. Presentation. Only if you knew how hard this effort was for our small F/TSWG group. Jim, I could never have been more proud of a group who no matter stood behind our decisions, without one time questioned, this is how standing together united we can and will master any opponent.
With that being said, I will represent our F/TSWG group with you at F/T Nation in a common goal in Washington. We will fight the fight to implement FairTax in a pivot important election year.
I have already made the reservations and I will hope to meet with you. I plan to seek you out if I can.
    See you in Washington....
    See you in Washington...

Hello Jim, Thanks for adding me as a friend. Be sure to watch our Stop The Mob! video? Here is a link to a very informative website, www.taxpayersofamerica.net

  • chiefcook

Sorry to be picky, but we now have 57 (1 Sponsor & 56 Co-Sponsors) in the House. Could you please update the main page at the top (just after the number of members) Thanks, Walt
  • Tom Frazier

    Thank you Jim
I like what I have seen here and will do all I can to help around Alabama.
I have just gotten active, but plan to stay that way. I welcome any advice on how to I can help take our country back.

  • Diane Stough

    No who is she?
  • Billie

Hi Jim, I added a group "Tea Party" and it has the Ohio Tea Party websites. How do we add them to the front page? Billie
  • Chris Lewis

Frank Kratovil is now, in the House.
  • Dan Hunt

    Jim

Sorry about the mix up with Southern Belle. I inadvertently went to the TeaPartyNation website instead of TeaPartypatriots. Quite frankly there are so many websites being created to fight the out of control government I have a hard time keeping up with all of them. I try to limit myself to a small number. I will contact Southern Belle.

    Dan
  • chiefcook

Jim, suggest you look at the posts of "Amy Domestico" It looks like someone is publizing their web radio show and not the Fair Tax.
  • Jesse

Your favorite? I'm going abstract with pumpkin chocolate chip.
  • Christopher "Todd" Ross

Todd Long is another candidate for congress that has been a supporter of the Fair Tax movement for a long time. Please make sure that your people know about him so they can research whether or not he is the right candidate for them before the election.

  • Mark DeVol

In the coming months is there a time that I could address your group?

    Mark DeVol
    Candidate U.S. House TN-3
  • Dave Sibole

I received an inappropriate comment from someone named Joy with an email address joybacon4love15@yahoo.co.uk She may be and probably is sending them to others as well. If you can find out who she is she should be banned.
  • Laura McCue

Jim, any answer on the conversation we had on the phone regarding ability to email all supporters in our district using the event or blog features?
