Thanks for comment about the scientific name. I looked it up again and realized that I had accidentally copied the subfamily and genus. I had meant to use the standard genus and species, which is indeed Taxidea taxus. The idea came from a trip to the Milwaukee County Zoo when I was in high school. I was in front of the badger exhibit. Back in those days (maybe still?), all the animal signs included the scientific names. That was when I was first exposed to the strange irony regarding the naming of our state animal. I couldn't remember the exact Latin, but I've always remembered significance of our mascot.
Hey Gary! yeah, it's on my TO DO list! I just joined Keller Williams Realty here, and doing lots of new training, so time for the next couple of weeks is a premium, but I would love to have something up in time for our big booth event at the convention center the weekend of Vday.
We're very excited about it and hope to get lots of people on board!
I was surfing thru youtube and ran across a 3 part video that had me in stitches! It's from Canada, and called "Corner Gas" episode "Tax man". Go there and search those two quotes, and play them 1,2,3. SO FUNNY!
Gary, I am going to have the 2 Wisconsin groups merged. I hope you will join the other group. I am going to also move the picture of the badger to the other group. There are more members of that group and it will be easier to eliminate the current group with the badger picture. The latin naming is hilarious. And to think my alma mater are the badgers. What irony in one of the highest taxed states.

Hi Gary, Watkinsville is near UGA in Athens, GA. I use to try to get Linder to push this in the 90's hear in Ga., when he was my representative. I had good contact with him during that time! I had met him and his wife several times. But, I have been out of touch with him since GA changed districts. I have posted and join the FairTax group on facebook and myspace. That is why I asked members of each site to join the other sites to increase our range of members. I network alot! Thanks for adding me as a friend here! Blessings! Judy
