    Doug, I am so glad that you are wanting to be involved. South Carolina is really rocking the FairTax. They are almost neck and neck with Georgia. I had no doubt that I could connect you with someone close to you. I clicked on the GROUPS tab above. There you'll find all of the state groups, then I searched for South Carolina. I suggest that you become a part of their group. Then I just scrolled down and found all of the directors currently listed for SC. If I were you I would contact the state director, Jack Jackson, since I did not find a Charleston director and don't know what other city is close by, and he can point you in the right direction and get you hooked up in your area.
