Hi, Angela, and welcome to FairTaxNation! Glad you found your way here! I've started monthly Fair Tax meetings here in Marion and you can find the date and time under the events tab.
FTN had a booth at the 2009 Ohio Libertarians Party Convention in Perrysville a month or two ago. I understand that about half the Libertarian party nationwide supports this vital and urgent piece of legislation.
I just got back to Dayton, Ohio this morning after traveling all night from Missouri where I, and 5 other FairTaxers attended a big rally there; just got back to Marion about a half hour ago. (got a little shut eye in Dayton at a friend's home before I drove back to Marion).
Bear in mind that Fair Tax is a non partisan issue and folks from all parties support it, though they may differ on other issues, so we try to stick to the taxation issue here and not get into party differences. Keeps us focused on working together, something that Washington politicians are unable to do. Politicians just want to divide and conquer us so they can rule over us. The Fair Tax will go along way toward toward putting a stop to that and provide the jobs and the real economic stimulus the USA so desperately needs.
Again, welcome aboard! We're glad to have you.
FairTax Nation a site designed and managed by FairTax volunteers to serve the needs of FairTax advocates by providing a place to share ideas, find resources and create new opportunities with the goal of passing the FairTax HR 25.
On Nation we are working on many projects. One is our 50 State Campaign. We want to link at least 1,000 active volunteers in each state to work together in a national effort to pass the FairTax. That would give us at least 50,000 active volunteers able to communicate, plan events, etc. I know some people want a FairTax rally in Washington D.C. This is how we build the organization to make this event and many others possible.
Please feel free to invite your FairTax friends to join us.
Congressman Jordan and/or his aides would like to speak with business owners regarding the FairTax and it's impact on their businesses. Are you, or do you know any business owners, in his district that would like to help promote the FairTax?
