    Liz: Thanks for reponding. Are you aware of Lowry, Virginia. It is a small town (35 last time I was there. It is near Bedford between Lynchburg. It was founded by my grear great grandfather John Lowry as part of a land grant following the Revolutionary War. Bedford County, Virginia at one time was the Lowry plantaion. Ir was all burned after the civil war by Sherman's forces. The county museum has extensive information on the family. Do you know who Anna Hugh Lowry's father was? I could go on and on. Maybe more later..........Bob
