Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Planning

We're going to at least need a sound system - not to mention a stage; oh, and just where will we put that stage anyway? We have a great deal to talk about and plan for...

>Sean, I think I see what they are doing. It falls into what the Republican management wants. They are trying to form a coaleceing group behind freedomworks to push their agenda. They state on their website that they want one million supporters in Washington that day. The other Tea Party Groups are only playing into their hands. We need to utilize this some how. Perhaps we need to ask them if they would like to have 10 thousand FairTaxers to come over and show support at 1 of their events? All is speculative at this point. They might really welcome the idea.

Thank for that info Cary - not exactly the same one I was thinking of but it's good to know kind of stuff.

Here is another one: http://taxdayteaparty.com/ - the site does not mention a specific time, but since it will be "...at the Capitol and the Mall" I'm assuming it will be during the day. This should also be a huge event- looks like it's going to be a really busy day in DC on 4/15.

I could swear that I saw something on one of the other Tea Party sites as well, but I think they might have taken it down.

Cary,

I saw something on a website too, but I can't remember if it was Tea Party Patriots or Tea Party Nation. Even so, I didn't see a specific time frame.

> I've been looking at the teapartynation event and it looks like they are scheduling it late afternoon. Maybe we could have a lot of FairTaxers show up for their event. An ocean of signs will be seen by some!

Might be able to rent a few flat bed trucks to be moved from place to place as needed for different occasions....if you can get them wired for sound.. Just a thought.

Jim,

Your suggested schedule is a great start! One of the things we'll need to know is a location for the 9am start of the main Storm the Hill event. I know you have an idea for an area close to the House office buildings, but I'm not able to figure out where that is - so if you have a name or location, it would help a lot.

Also, I am personally in favor of having some kind of march (if you don't like the word "march" then think "parade/procession"). We could gather at Freedom Plaza and then proceed from there down PA avenue to 12th street and turn right, then proceed to Constitution Avenue and turn left. That would lead us past the IRS building on the way to our final destination - we can wave "Hello" as we pass by. I would suggest that we begin this procession at 8am in the morning to make sure we reach out final destination by 9am - in time for the beginning of the Storm the Hill main event.

I would like to add that now would be a good time for all of the state, district and community folks to download the petition documents and begin circulating them in their areas to gather signatures. All of these good people should keep in mind that these documents are intended to be delivered to either their Representative or Senator during the Storm the Hill event on 4/15.

Actually, the hotel offers a free shuttle service to the Metro. Of course, they'll be plenty busy with all of us :)
Comment by Jim Tomasik on November 18, 2009 at 7:41am
The hyatt is easy to get to the metro.

We want people to listen to us. We need to be willing to listen to others as well. WE The People will work together.

How is the Hyatt as far as location to the Storming the Hill? A Stage? What if the TeaParty has one too or would they be willing to unite? My concern would have confusion of the 2 different groups.
I'm ready to reserve my room! May have 4...6, ready to reserve theirs! Looking forward to the phone call!!!
Gooo FairTax!
