Senate Votes NO on VAT-Value Added Tax Amendment

While the Obama administration is running up it's flag pole and testing the waters on the VAT-Value Added Tax, the Senate votes on a non-binding amendment to send a message to the administration and the American people as a legislative body, it thinks the VAT-Value Added Tax is a bad idea and will only further hurt our economy.

National Sales Tax: VAT vs FairTax

FairTaxers:



Yes, the press and politicians will probably refer to a VAT (Value-Added Tax) as a national sales tax, so it is important for FairTax supporters to understand the differences between the two so that we can answer questions from the public.



Actually, they have much in common, but the differences are critical.



Both tax final consumption only once.

They have the exact same tax base, if they both have no exemptions.
