BTW, do you recall that portion of a letter signed by Pelosi, Rangel, and others, sent to Pres. Bush regarding simplifying the tax code? Do you remember where that's posted on FTN? I'm still very much interested in that letter and would like to find it in a PDF format so that I can copy it off.

Jim, I'm a tad concerned about the "Big Medicine" blog on FTN. Probably worrying for nothing, but I was afraid that comments could become very partisan as the topic maybe a little too far removed from Fair Tax. Just an FYI.

FTN new member list-2.xls Jim, there were a couple of spreadsheet layouts used. I combined the five sheets into one and deleted those that did not have e-mail info and corrected some typos. The spreadsheet has over 800 names. Convio has already received these names through other channels. Therefore it will not provide "new" names to AFFT from FTN. In the future, I am working on getting them to you and have them show up to AFFT as "new" people. This will get Ken and Leo on board even more!

Jim....Didn't get to go to any of the Tea Party's; unfortunately I don't have much time between, my job ....and my web work, etc. I do strongly support the Fair Tax concept and have already started promoting it in my work.

I'm thrilled that your Tea Party was a success! My mom's a Democrat and she was right there with me in Col. Oh. working the crowd. Truly a non partisan, American effort!

Yes, we will use the FTN sign up sheet at the FT table. Definitely. Hope it happens across the nation. I will be in Columbia for the Save the Nation rally. What will you be doing?

I like to share with all of you as we are all working to change the way we are taxed.
FairTaxSOWEGA has reached a mile stone in 4 months as we had first Fla. Whip Party implement our website with theirs and second we hit 1000 followers on our twitter site . This means we three website spurs have affected 4000 people who want change in our government in how we are taxed. Thanks for your group in all you are doing to get the word out and know you have another FairTax group reaching out too.
Thanks
Charlie

Jim, something I need help understanding... taxation at the 'retail' level. If a manufacturer purchases many different components to build a finished good, the item is not taxed until the FINAL product is completed and sold to the enduser, correct?

What about items which are consumed by the manufacturer in the creation of these items? such as glues and whatnot? Or as one person used as an example for me, yeast in beer. His example was that yeast dies in the beer and it makes the manufacturer the 'enduser' of the yeast. Does the beer manufacturer then pay the tax, or does it still wait until the beer is purchased by and enduser? I have many more related questions and I'm not sure where to send them.

I currently sell to companies are tax exempt on some purchases because they are used for R&D. Will that still apply, or will they begin paying tax?

The possibilty exists that they woudl be stopped, although I can't help but to think that thousands of tea bags being stopped would still be reported on.

regardless, I like the idea of sending pictures of the Boston Tea Party even more. I will consider printing some or having post cards made.

Jim, other than entering a message as an event, how do I write something or copy and paste something into an area like this and send it to everyone on my FT email list, not everyone who is a friend on FTN or a member of my group? It seems that I either run into a problem of not enough space to write a long entry or no ability to import my list of email addresses from a word document. The import works when I invite to an event. Complicated, I know but its important! Hope things are going well. I am so impressed at the number of people who have joined FTN!

I agree, on not adding more to the front page -- unless there is an out cry from the members.

Jim,
I contacted Rep. Steve King's Washington office and obtained the the e-mail address for his Legislative Director, Bentley Graves. The e-mail address is : bentley.graves@mail.house.gov. I know that the Congressman would appreciate a phone call from those taking he time to do so. However, the majority of people would prefer the most expedient, convenient and less expensive route and e-mail him. The important objective is making the contact with his office and the more options we make available, the more response we will affect.

BTW, his washington Office number is 202-225-4426 and his fax number is 202-225-3193

Please disseminate the name and numbers to all in our FairTax Nation network of supporters.

Thanks,

Rick Rodriguez, Volunteer DD FL07

Jim,

Great job to get the interview with Rep. King. What can we do to get it out to the general public? Keeping this type of support to ourselves only lifts our enthusiasmn when we really need every voter to know.
