That was an encouraging blog Scott. We are several hours away to the Southwest but will be willing to do whatever we can to help you if you want to organize an April 15 event in the Northeast part of the state.

Hi Scott I just read your blog; that is great. Ken Hoagland is on FairTax Nation and he is FairTax.org guy. (I think) I am old and I do get my sites and facts confused. Bare with me. I think you would make a great District Director. You could get your friends to be Community Coordinator and get some action in the North East corner. We want to be present at our Post Offices on April 15th and it is not to early to get people lined up to be there and get posters made and get hand outs. If you are interested let Steve Curtis or me know. Thanks for your blog. I hope everyone reads it. Billie in Beavercreek

Scott on the Ohio group you can get Steve's e-mail and his phone number if you wish. We would love to have you as a community coordinator or a district director. Billie

First of all, welcome back to the FairTax. It's always good to see "old friends" returning after hiatus.

I've tried to sum up what we're trying to do state-wide in our State Strategy located here

http://cmr-golf.com.phtemp.com/PDF/FairTax_State_Strategy.pdf

In summary, we want Community Coordinators to provide ready access to new people wanting to learn more about the FairTax, and to promote the FairTax with their friends and associates. Typically, CCs do this by having regular, public meetings. These meetings provide a "presence" for the FairTax, keep the FairTax in people's minds, and provide a place for the interested to go and get more information. CCs also recruit new volunteers/activists who are willing to make calls/send letters to State or Federal politicians. The goal here is to have at least one CC in each State congressional district, and to be able to influence State Representatives and Senators to support the FairTax by showing them we have enough FairTax supporters to swing an election, and we are active enough to "deliver" those votes to FairTax candidates.

The District Directors do much the same thing, but work more on the Congressional District level. Here again, the idea is get enough active, letter writing, fax sending, rally attending FairTax supporters to ensure those running for office will support the FairTax in order to get our votes.

If you are interested, let me know and we'll discuss in more detail.

Glad you found us. I have been volunteering for FairTax for years now and I have found that FairTaxers are the nicest group of people you will ever meet. Welcome and feel free to explore the site.

Scott I referred your question to our State Director, Steve Curtis. I am not sure what the responsibilities are. So far we have been pretty lax and it has just been a title. I think that is changing. Billie

That is pretty much all of Ohio. Our congressmen did not learn from Mike Dewine and Hobson. We can keep trying to get people that are in favor of FairTax on any level and then keep promoting them until they are in power. Huckabee seems to be our best bet in 4 years. We have a new State Director in FairTax and he is trying to get us organized. Please help by talking to your friends and family about FairTax and invite them to join this group and Zap the IRS. I don't think we have a FairTax Community Coordinator or District Director in OH-14. If you know of someone please let us know. Thanks again for being a FairTax Supporter.

Hello Scott,

Welcome to the site.

Please join your state group under the 'Groups" tab at the top. We are planning a huge year for the FairTax in 2009 so you came to the right place.

Please invite every FairTax supporter you know to join as well. We want to build an army of supporters as quickly as we can.

Thanks for Joining FairTax Nation!

Welcome Scott glad to have you join the network. There are some others on the network here from up in your area. Maybe you can hook up with them and we can grow the movement in your area.
