Great idea. Our local newspaper is interested in the turnout on Thursday. They are concerned that we got so little response from public servants invited almost 20 days ago. We will see who and which officials show up on the 29th. Afterall, $483.6 Billion dollars is not chicken feed! I look at those pictures and think about the difference between these events and the ones the mighty attend in Washington DC. Right now our group is having trouble getting our local politicians to attend an informational FairTax meeting. I never expected such apathy at the local level in a town that is bleeding jobs and money. Our Court Street is giving birth to a ghost town with its vacant buildings and 'ForRent' signs while our councilmen and city officials, county commissioners are uninterested in the one tax reform that could make Missouri a beacon for displaced businesses and industries having to move thanks to tax codes in their home state. Apathy to the common man apparently starts at home.

Well, I just sent out about 23 emails regarding the Fair Tax and urging them to sign up for District 09. It's just a small start, but hopefully, this will generate some more interest; I'm sure each small step makes a difference! Thanks for giving us "little" people a chance to get involved!

FairTax is spinning its wheels as long as Charlie Strangle has a rangle-hold on it. When GOOOH flips the House next year, those reps will pass FairTax. See if you agree. OK FairTax coordinators are shifting their focus to work thru GOOOH.

"Hi Laura. While looking around the FT Nation website I noticed a typo on the FT Petition Flyers. I looked all over but didn't see a way to make this known to anyone who could fix it. If you know who can....in the last line before the Name entry, the word verify needs a "y". I know, it's kinda dumb, but typos always stick out like a sore thumb to me & don't think we should have this if it's going to Congress. Thanks."

I'm tech challenged so here goes: I want to invite some folks to join FTN but I can't because the site has limited email addresses, ie:AOL, Yahoo, Hotmail, Gmail, etc. My address is verizon.net. Can you tell me how I work around this?

If I recall correctly, there was a discussion about possibly getting me a list of names of known FairTax supporters in my congressional district. I'm in 4 in Ohio. Is this possible? If so, I surely could use it. Thanx!
