I only have an AAS degeree, I know many of you have more college education than that but one of the things that was stressed in several courses was goal setting, I'm possitive that has been the case in many of your courses as well. Especially in business management classes. If the Fair Tax has set goals each year they have kept them a secret, I've been on their mailing list for years and I've never seen specific goals laid out. I have mentioned a more "organized" approach several time and sort of rebuffed saying this is a grassroots movement. What is to say grassroots can't organize into beautiful sod? There are a couple of states that seem to be organized on the state level and that is commendable. Can we make it 50 states in 2009?

Please respond and let's make this happen.

HERE is a great read about an Obama style tax cut. Not that when he cuts your RATE, it is after he has allowed the Bush tax cuts to expire, so you end up paying more!

An idea, all. We need for the Fairtaxnation and our bills to get more exposure, right? Well, I suggest that we all try to get in touch with the Peter G. Peterson folks who put out the book, I.O.U.S.A movie and book. If we can get www.fairtax.org endorsed on their website, it will be exposed to every college student they are outreaching to. That would fall in perfectly with my idea to try to contact colleges. David Walker, the former Comptroller of the U.S., who resigned rather than be forced to "cook the books" of the U.S. should be hailed as a fiscal HERO and a real man of guts. He currently runs the Peterson group. http://www.pgpf.org/newsroom/press/pew/
Anyone with any thoughts on this, please respond. I think the Fairtax is right up this guy's alley and should be endorsed on his website. If enough of us can expose him to our plan and he does, indeed, endorse our cause, we will get TONS of free exposure!

www.fairtaxhub.com will have a soft launch tomorrow evening. The official launch is Sunday. The "Lunch & Taxes" commercials will be up to YouTube with the soft launch. Enjoy them and use them to start the FairTax conversation with others.

I agree. I try to keep all my "other" blogs, posts, etc. on other sites. The FairTax, and getting it passed, should be the primary focus of this site.

I like the idea Gary posted about setting up a seperate forum for that talk. and make it password protected. I've seen that done on other forums and it seems to work pretty well.

Gary, You are right. It actually has been posted and restated regularly on this site.

I will repost my first blog...

Thanks, Jim

I'm as politically boiling over about this stimulatingly wasteful pork barrel BBQ, and I'm REALLY upset that they have BILLIONS going to the ACORN criminals; BUT, IS FairTaxNation the place for us to aire these concerns? I believe that THIS (FTN) is the best FairTax forum that we've gotten yet, and I don't want that diluted with other issues. We need to have a policy here, and it should be posted plainly on the top of the site. This hurts me to say this. Maybe the policy statement could suggest a "sister forum" to persue other government issues, or possibly we could craft a special section for this talk. Remember, if you cross someone's politics with your issue, they walk away from FairTax! Let's be single minded when we're on FTN!!!

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has a "What should Congress do in it's first 100 days" question of which you can type in PASS THE FAIRTAX AND SEND IT TO OBAMA'S DESK FOR HIS SIGNATURE!!! Elaboration is limited but references to bring some 13 trillion dollars back from offshore investments to invigorate our ecomomy will work nicely. As well as creating an business friendly environment that would go a long way to bringing back the sad figure of 90% of manufacturing jobs that have left our country.

Jim, The www.PAFairTax.org website is another example. News on it is old and outdated. Marlene Tobin did a truly gargantuan effort and work into PA Fair Tax, and I applaud her for her work. The website needs updated, tho.
