It's Time to Take Action!
The FairTax will pass when our grassroots membership grows large enough to demand it. We need at least 10,000 voters in each of the 41 districts represented by a Member on the House Ways and Means Committee, this includes North Carolina's 2nd Congressional District. We plan ongoing Calls to Action as the FairTax groundswell builds, and contacting our supporters via e-mail is the most timely and cost-effective method available. It is very important that you provide us with a valid e-mail address so that we can communicate with you going forward. In the meantime, get involved. Plan an event, set up a FairTax table somewhere, go to a training session or just tell a friend. Take the first step, and the next step will follow.
The FairTax will change just about every aspect of our economic lives for the better, and you can help bring about this historic change. Take action!

For the next meeting lets target a membership drive by participating in an event, fair or setting up a booth in a high traffic area. Anyone have any ideas where this could be?

See attached info about the Sanford meeting. I am having a meeting in Pittsboro hosted by the CCV and I handed out the Pittsboro meeting flyer to 50 businesses in Pittsboro.

Is the Sanford meeting on May 14 at Golden Corral still on?

Speaking of stamps, how about postage stamps? Zazzle.com lets you design your own. Also, what about Fair Tax business cards? Vistaprint.com advertises 250 free business cards on your choice of 42 designs, one of which shows part of an American flag . In addition, what about leaving fliers at our local libraries for other patrons to pick up?
Perhaps the Post Office Rally handout "Imagine if the IRS was gone". I have even written fairtax.org on my van window with glass paint. (My husband thinks this is tacky and says he'll get me a bumper sticker. I say the paint is more noticable. : )

Bill and Karen - just go to the nearest staples, office depot etc and have them make a stamp!

EVERYONE GO GET A STAMP FOR YOUR MONEY!

I think in our next meeting we need to get to the basic point of the Fair Tax and what it does for Americans. The article in the Sanford Herald does not explain its true purpose in detail.
