Hi Frank!
Gary Johnson is running in the Libertarian party. He is the only candidate who openly and frequently is advocating for the Fair Tax by name. He has a Internet meeting every Tuesday on his website, maybe you could ask him about it.
Isn't Gary Johnson now running as a libertarian or Independent? After Newt's appearence on Neal Boortz's show, I am completely off of him. He knows the FairTax and how much research and money has gone into it. He knows the validity of the bill. Yet all he would do is study it and "other" tax reform ideas in the first year. I want a leader in the White House, not one who has to wet his finger and hold it in the wind.
I will look at Huntsman's tax plan to see how it compares to the Fair Tax. Watch for my blog in the next few days. As of today the only candidate I am aware of that supports the Fair Tax is Gary Johnson.
You make some excellent points. I support the Fair Tax. However, the only one candidate that I am aware of who supports the Fair Tax is Huntsman. Probably Newt Gingrich would be a better choice especially if he would support the Fair Tax. But even Newt's tax plan is better than our current system. If Newt gets the nomination, perhaps he would switch to the Fair Tax if enough people ask him to do so.
