Hi Billie, I got your message about needing Ohio Tea Party websites. I'm not sure if I can somehow add these myself, but here they are for you if you can add them.
And there is the following site for Ohio which has membership across multiple Tea Party groups and other groups like Ohio Freedom Alliance and OH 912.
http://www.ohiolibertycouncil.com/
Hi Billie, I got your message. Herman Cain (and Neal Boortz) is doing a fine job getting people involved but his message only reaches people here in the South and what we need is a strong voice in the Northeast portion of the US. I cannot understand why those up north are so against opening their minds - the FairTax is a no-brainer!!! I truly believe that this is the only answer to all our fiscal problems. This Government of ours is out of control - they're systematically destroying any chance of our future generation's prosperity and I am totally frustrated!!! Now, aren't you glad you wrote me??? Keep up the good fight!
Billie,
Thanks for adding me as a friend. I would love to meet with you and your group. I will attempt to come to your next meeting and meet you. I appreciate everything that you are doing.
I hope that you will not allow my feelings about the 2 party system to be a driving wedge here. I am a registered republican. As such I have voted on a traditional conservative slant. However, I feel that they have abandoned us. The more I learn about the political system the more I realize how corrupt it has become. That being the case I feel no allegiance to the party. A person that I met recently had a good point, she said we need to vote Principle over Party.
The GOOOH project has a lot of very good points and could possibly be a great way to get rid of the many incompetent and career politicians.
Keep up the good work. We need more people like yourself that are ready to step up.
Billie,
Thanks for allowing us to come out and chat with your group. We had a great time and enjoyed meeting with you.
We hope that you seen something that you might be able to support.
If we can be of assistance feel free to contact us.
If you are in need of a speaker in one of your venues feel free to contact us. We can speak on individual issues or many issues. This can also be done in a somewhat non-partisan basis if needed.
Thanks again for doing your part for our country.

I am pleased to be your friend. Yes, the meeting of the Cincinnati Fair Tax Group will be Monday January 25 7:00 to 8:30 at the Sharonville Public Library, 10980 Thornview Drive. Hope to see you there. Please feel free to bring some friends along.
I am having a hard time deciding between the Washington Twp. Liberty Group meeting at Washington Heights Baptist Church or the Fair Tax Meeting in Sharonville. Both are on Monday night January 25, 2010. I am leaning towards the Fair Tax one.
Thanks for your call yesterday! I was SURE I had posted it to all available forums. Did you notice your mug in my profile picture? That was a great day!
I sent out invitations to my friends and we will be going to the Cincinnati meeting! I am really looking forward to getting involved as much as I can! Thank you again for directing me to this site
Hey Billie, I think that your state must be leaps ahead of ours in regards to people really wanting to get involved. Or maybe it is just me. I've thought about stepping down as SD...I'm starting meetings again this month...in the past meetings were zero to a few in attendance. Any ideas/tips on attendance grabbers?
Thanks for all you do and for sharing! I'm pretty much the only DD in the pacific northwest so the encouragement and support from others is very valuable!
Hey Billie, I too was on the conference call! I've thought about the bumpersticker campaign for the April 15th Teaparty here in Tri-cities. We had one and now I think we have 2 (due to a split). GOOOH...hmmmm wonder if there are any here? I'm thinking most of Washington just doesn't know the legislation is there! I know about fighting the fight for them! Our son is serving in the AF in Louisianna & our daughter is going to school in Spk WA. Are you going to be in DC for 4/15?
Hi Billie!
I'm one of 4 keynote speakers at the Ohio Libertarian Party's State Convention in Columbus on April 10th! They are giving us a booth at no charge & I'm trying to gather whatever I can to dress it up. Any suggestions?
I hope all is well!
Teresa
Billie - Thanks for the message! Yes, I would still like to do something for FairTax but have been working alot and just very busy. I am getting married this summer and so planning that event has taken up some time as well. Also, during the week I always end up having to work until 8pm or later usually, so I'm never able to attend your meetings. Still, perhaps some time down the line I will able to contribute more to the FairTax group. I believe I ordered a T-shirt so if I still owe you for that I will be happy to pay for it and pick it up. Thanks again!

Hi Billie, Thanks for your note. I haven't figured your picture out... I'll watch for more info on the Englewood meeting, and try to attend. I strongly believe the FairTax is the only way to abolish the IRS, with many other positive changes. I hope we can make it happen.

Hi Billie,
Are you talking about the Liberty Group thing at the Nutter Center April 13th at 7:00 pm? I am planning on being there. Can't make the April 11th thing though. We had visitors so could not make the Cincinnati Fairtax meeting but our daughter made a fairtax display on the bulletin board at her work.
Rachel
Hi Billie,
I had Gene confirm the April 28th date for the next Cincinnati Fairtax meeting before my daughter put it on the bulletin board at Avon. I told him what she was doing. I hope it will work out and he'll get more fairtaxers in and around Sharonville. I have his email address around here some place so should be able to learn when the May and future meetings are. I think I can also find it on the Ohfairtax website due to Steve Curtiss's deligance.
Hope you had a Good Easter
Rachel
Thanks, Billie, I'm working on it. I had the honor to work the FairTax booth at SRLC 2010 last weekend, and it was a great experience! Now I have my yard sign up, and getting ready to work the Tea Party crowd tonight! Take Care!
We were in the Springfield Memorial Day Parade today. The weather was beautiful and there were people all along the 2 mile route. We had a trailer pulled by Barbara Wilson's car. She and her husband spend the last couple of days preparing for the parade. They did a fantastic job. It is very tiring; but I think we all had a good time.
Sorry so long in responding. Yes, I'm a truckdriver and my only out is scribbling different political messages or statements on my trailer doors. I am not gifted with gab and nobody likes to hear me talk. In this business; you have to sound a certain way or they tell you to shut up on the radio. As in the political arena today; The Morons have control of the microphone and sensible speech is shouted down.
On April 15 each year, many Americans would like to eliminate the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, says it’s not such a bad idea.
“In my opinion, the IRS is one of the least essential agencies in the federal government,” he writes in The Washington Times. “If I had my way, we would shut down the non-essential IRS forever. This is why I am an advocate for legislation that does just that.”
The FairTax Act, a bill co-sponsored by King, seeks to reform the tax structure by replacing the income tax with a consumption tax, he explains.
That would “eliminate the need for the IRS because the FairTax would be administered in much the same manner as states administer state sales taxes,” King writes. “Americans would no longer have to file a return because taxes would be collected at the point of sale for a good or service.”
We were in Medina yesterday (4/15/11) with our FairTax material. They have a very nice group (McFAN.org) with a very nice turn out. We got several petitions and a lot of interest in FairTax. We need someone to start a FairTax group in the Akron Area that would include Medina and Canton. If there is any interest please contact Steve Curtis, Barbara Wilson or me. Keep FairTax growing.
Do you know about the Monday, June 6, Fair Tax meeting to be held at the Quayle Museum in Huntington? It will be at the Dan Quayle Vice-Presidential Museum (see the photo) at the corner of Warren and Tipton Streets near downtown Huntington. It will start at 6:30 and end at 8:30 p.m.
There will be two speakers representing the Fair Tax organization: Mr. Ron Heilman from Fort Wayne, and Mr. Adrian Messer from Silver Lake.
Bring yourself, a friend or two, and your questions!
It seemed to work with a lot of help from my son. I never know what password to use and all this terminology and different headers. Maybe now I can do it on my own.
Billie, I would ask our folks, but that is our meeting night. Remember, its the third Wdnesday of every month. Don't you have one coming up on the 14th?
These are exciting days for FairTax. The House Ways and Means Committee has taken up consumption taxes by holding two panels one on FairTax HR 25 and the other on the VAT. (As of today there is no bill in the House proposing a VAT)
The Democrats invited Mr. Bruce Bartlett to speak in opposition to the FairTax. My understanding is Bruce Bartlett has no formal economic training. He has a masters degree in history and his graduate paper was on the culpability of the U.S. in starting WWII.
Dr. David Tuerck and Dr. Laurence J. Kotlikoff will speak on behalf of the FairTax. Both have already written papers debunking Bruce Bartlett's claims.
Mike Huckabee will also be testifying on behalf of the FairTax.
Thank you to the volunteers who have contacted the members of the House Ways & Means Committee to invite them to attend the hearing! I believe that each member of the committee has been contacted by a volunteer from FairTax at least once.
The hearing is only the beginning! We need to make sure we follow up on this hearing and the others to follow. As you know FairTaxers will be in Washington DC this week personally visiting congressional offices, talking to Congressmen and staff during Storm the Hill.
We need your help! Please call, fax, visit your local Congressional offices this week and ask your Congressman to cosponsor the FairTax.
Phone lines into Washington DC have been jammed with debt ceiling concerns and other topics so your best option my be to call local offices.
(FYI There is another tax hearing in the House Ways & Means on taxes
this week: Boustany Announces Hearing on New IRS Paid Tax Return
I got an email from the Tea Party people. Apparently there is to be a bill to come before the House regarding the EPA. I have contacted my congressman about this. Here is the info that I got:
"There are tremendous concerns about the damage being done to our national economy and the Ohio economy by the actions of the EPA to impose cap and trade without congressional approval. The US House of Representatives is taking action to reign in the EPA with a bill called the TRAIN Act and we need to support those actions. The TRAIN ACT is expected to come before the full U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday, September 22nd. This bill would push back against the EPA's unconstitutional, outrageous rules and regulations that raise energy prices for consumers, destroy jobs and increase our dependence on foreign sources of energy. The TRAIN Act will:
• Reject the EPA's attempt to shut down coal as one key source of our energy needs
• Ensure that America continues to be able to use its own natural resources for energy, as opposed to relying more on foreign sources of energy
• Stop the EPA from acting without Congressional approval
Please ask your members to contact all of Ohio's members of Congress THIS WEEK and confirm that they will vote YES for the TRAIN act.
• Reject the EPA's attempt to shut down coal as one key source of our energy needs
• Ensure that America continues to be able to use its own natural resources for energy, as opposed to to relying more on foreign sources of energy
• Stop the EPA from acting without Congressional approval

MSNBC initiated a poll, "How Would You Improve the Tax Code?"
Not surprisingly, their four ballot options did not include the "FairTax", but you can vote to ELIMINATE THE INCOME TAX AND CREATE A NATIONAL SALES TAX INSTEAD. You can show them their little "games" won't work.
Right now, the FairTax is in 1st place as a result of the thousands of FairTax supporters who have already expressed their opinion. But we want our victory to be so overwhelming that the results can't be ignored by MSNBC, or anyone else.
If we are to make FairTax a household word and the ONLY legitimate option for replacing the current income tax code, we must take advantage of every opportunity to voice our opinion.
You do not have to register with MSNBC to cast your vote, however, we encourage you to add a comment stating that you specifically support the FairTax. Adding comments will require that you register. A small inconvenience to stand up in a big way for the FairTax, but isn't it worth it?
We need everyone to participate in this poll, so Go Get 'Em!!
And if you want to do more, don't forget the Five for FairTax campaign
Boy, it has been a long time since I have been here! Yesterday the Tea Party went to Washington D.C. It was put together quickly. But the crowd showed up. CSPAN-3 covered this. Did you go or see it? We need to get active. This is the best time we have ever had to get the FairTax Passed. Contact your friends and call your congressmen. FairTax is the best way to get rid of the IRS. The flat tax and 9-9-9 will still have the IRS. Tell everyone!
