Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

http://dccc.org/content/home

I sent them a message asking them to stop lying about the FT.  Too many people are now educated and know it's a lie.  I also told them that the party that passes the FT will dominate Wash DC for decades locking the other party out.  I also told them that when it passes, they will have a lot of tough questions to answer if they continue to lie about it.  I also told them that of all people, they should be supporters since it reduces unemployment and grows the GDP.  I then challenged them to name anything better than the FT at those two things.  I'm sure I will be ignored.  Maybe if enough of you all write similar messages, it might help stop the lying.

I watched the video. It targets Dan Benishek as supporting a 23% sales tax on everything. Doesn't point out anything else about the FairTax. I looked at Benishek's website, and can't find any mention of him supporting the FairTax. He does state that we should simplify our tax code, but doesn't specify how. Also, on the DCCC's website http://gopcontractwithamerica.com/ they state that one of the GOP's top 10 priorities is to institute the 23% tax on everything. It must mean that they see a lot of candidates supporting it, because I haven't heard the GOP leadership talking about it at all. I wish it were true!!!
It tells me a lot that they have it on their front page. 1) they are scared of it, 2) it has reached some sort of critical mass 3) they have nothing positive to say at all - only negative and 4) they have no message at all, except 'we will raise your taxes even higher and spend us into oblivion.' They got nothin'

Be sure to contact them and ask them to stop lying. Partial truths are lies.

They just discussed this ad and other anti-FairTax ads in two other districts on the Rachel Maddow show. She was confused at the message they were sending, but didn't do anything to correct the mis-statements. They did actually use the word FairTax a few times though. I hope some people google it after seeing it.
