Fair-Taxers Meet the Tea Party Express Bus in Toms River, New Jersey

Three Fair Taxers met the Tea Party Express bus in Toms River, New Jersey - the last stop before Washington DC on the cross-country tour. Pictured here are (unfortunately cut off) Christine Bennett, Dorothy Burger and Jim Bennett.

Despite the unpleasant drizzly weather, about 1,500 turned out for the event. We showed signs, handed out a couple of hundred pocket cards and gathered contact information for 15 pepole. We sold the FairTax as the solution to the problems about which the party goers had come to protest.

Knowledge of- - and interest in - the Fair Tax was high.
