This is a very nice hotel that is giving us a great rate.

We need to have a total of 270 paid guest room nights rented.

For example:

My wife and I will be staying the night of the 14th,15th,16th and 17th. That is a total of 4 off of the 270.

I'm a wee bit confused on this one.

There seems to be two rates for Friday the 16th - $129 and $95. Which of these rates would I pay if I do the same as you and reserve a room for the same for nights?

Also, is there some kind of reservation "code" that I should use when I book the room?
checking out in the first one...

checking in on the second one.

That one stumped me as well.

I assume they will give us the code when we nail down the contract. I forwarded the latest one to you . Did you get it?
Yep, got it!

And far be it from me to add to the confusion, but this just doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me (making sense is important to logical folks like meself). It seems to me that I can book a room for the nights of 4/14 & 4/15 with a check-out date of 4/16 and then rebook for the 16th and 17th, thereby saving $34 for the night of the 16th. Perhaps the hotel folks are not thinking too clearly on this one; either that, or something is getting lost in the translation. Either way, like you, I intend to book 4 nights as well. I'm just looking for the least expensive way of doing it.
Is this the Hyatt Regency on capital hill? If not more info please. ds

Calling this "...a very nice hotel." is a wee bit of an understatement. I think it is one of the best hotels I've ever been in, and I've been in a few.

My experience with this hotel is from attending the NTU event this past summer. I found meself very taken with all of the amenities and facilities. The main entrance, lobby and foyer areas are very impressive, as well as the meeting rooms and other social areas.

We could easily do a lot worse than this hotel, but I think we would be hard pressed to do much better, especially at these rates. - My 3 cents.
the normal discounted rate for this hotel seems to be in the 270 to $209 range. The website suggests they have free wired internet access in the rooms on floors fifteen thru eighteen. I will bring a patch cable and Verizon card, just in case. Did you use a laptop when you were there Sean? I assume it is close to the Metro or they have a (free?) shuttle?
The only way, I found, in order to match or get a better rate then you quote, is to use AAA for a Hotel near the southern end of the Metro.
The rate is great, especially at the end of the week.

The Metro is a short walk from the Hotel.

I added that link to the body of this discussion above.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to the Metro, I believe it runs every 15 minutes.

I did not stay at this hotel during my trip for the NTU event so I'm afraid I can't be of any help with the laptop question. I do know that they do not have a wireless connection, which kind of surprises me.
