I wanted to try and get to DC on 9/12 anyway. I surely hope this is something we can accomplish. I'll sign on to work a Fair Tax table if any of you can get us in.

Can you contact the gent via the email listed to find out what needs to be done? I am soooo swamped right now. I cannot mess with this at this time. I think it would be great if someone would find out all the details. ask about event location and the fees and what we get for those fees...stuff like that.

I received this email from Jim Robinson last night in response to my email with the questions we discussed. I sent a response this morning asking if arrangements are done solely via email or done by phone. I'll keep you posted.
Hello Dan,
Co-Sponsor one or more tables at $3,000 each and you will receive two tickets for each table co-sponsored, plus your organization will be listed with clickable links as Co-Sponsor on all of our promotional threads and pages. Co-Sponsor tables will be located as close to front row center as possible.
We will also include your logo or banner with clickable links to your site in our rotating banner series on all appropriate article threads during the promotional period for our convention. Plus you will receive a text link to your site listed at the top of our latest posts pages and a banner link on our home page.
Your logo or banners and text links will continue for thirty day periods after our convention for each table co-sponsored.
National Sponsor
Our National Sponsor at the $30,000 level will have his organization's clickable logos and banners prominently displayed on all of our promotional pages and appropriate article threads during the promotional period, plus a "Billboard" display section on our home page, a banner ad in our rotating ad series, and a text link on our latest posts pages for the remainder of this year and beyond until we start promoting next year's event. Our National Sponsor will have first right of refusal to repeat the arrangement next year. He'll also have one of our head tables and receive eight tickets to the convention.
Free Republic averages approximately 1.2 million visits per day from approximately 200,000 daily visitors so these promotional opportunities should result in many thousands of hits to your site, plus the added exposure and publicity involved with being part of our National Convention.
Speaking opportunities and promotional tables at the event will also be available for our sponsors.

This seems to me to be an opportunity too good to pass up. I will personally commit to attending the event and doing whatever is necessary to make sure we are represented. I think this will give us a great chance to get the word out to a whole bunch of people. Count me in!!

I have a list of two hundred Fair Tax supporters, including yourself, at Free Republic. I can contact them through FR's email system. I was toying with the idea of asking Jim Robinson if I could post a thread asking for donations to AFFT to be a Free Republic Sponsor but FR typically considers this spamming. Should we get Ken Hoagland involved somehow? Beyond that I am open to ideas.
