Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

The Conservative website Free Republic is seeking sponsors for its national convention September 9-12 in Washington D.C. Founder Jim Robinson is looking for organizations to sponsor one or more tables. He can be contacted at jimrob@psnw.com. The following link provides more detail. Woo hoo!! We're taking the fight to DC!!.

This is an excellent opportunity to spread The Fair Tax word to a group that is likely to result in garnering more Fair Tax supporters, especially since there is a growing following at Free Republic, of which obviously I'm one.

You're doing fine! Lead on! Doesn't matter who it is that's getting it done. Go ahead and work with Jim, I'll follow and provide whatever support I can.

Obviously, the big challenge we have here is coming up with the 3000 dollars. Jim, would we be able to use the donations from this site? Or is that money strictly for new banners? We've got to do some creative brainstorming.
I will talk with Marilyn. She already has some events in the line up. There are a lot of good ideas but we will not be able to do them if we do not fix the challenges.
Nancy
Any ideas are appreciated from someone with experience since I've never done this type of activity.
I'm pretty new myself, Dan. I just jump on the bandwagon whenever I can. Thank heavens for FTN! I've done more for Fair Tax since I joined than ever before. That's not saying a whole lot, mind you, but now I'm active and not just talking to everyone about it. I simply cannot stand by and watch the clandestine manipulations of the income/withholding tax. It's a scam, a sham, and should be illegal as it's draining the lifeblood out of our economy.

Dan, I'm glad you're here because I see you jumping in and doing whatever you can. We will be rewarded.
OK, how do w come up with 3000 bucks to make this happen?
On second thought....

Now that I've looked at this a little longer, I'm not certain at this point it is a good investment of our limited resources. I would like to see some more details before I say yes or no.

As far as I am able to determine, the "table" is just for the banquet (and two of our people will have dinner) - not like a table at an exhibition such as we just did at the NTU conference. If there won't be an exhibition where we can have a presence for a couple or so days, then we are just buying dinner for two. This means pretty much what it says, that we'd be a "sponsor" and while we would be recognized as such I don't think we'll get a lot of bang for our bucks. I have absolutely nothing against Free Republic, I just think there is a better way for us to spend what little money we have (we actually should be doing the same thing - getting sponsors).

Sure, we'll get links on the Free Republic web site until 30 days after the event, but I think I'd rather see us spend $3,000 on radio and TV ads.
If this is the case, then I'm not so sure it's a good idea. I do believe Fair Tax should be in DC on 9/12, however I just don't know in what form.
