House Ways & Means Committee scheduled

just saw this from FairTax Progressives on a face book posting: Rep Dave Camp has announced the FairTax will receive a full hearing in the House Ways & Means Committee scheduled for Tuesday, July 26, 2011. This is a historical first for the FairTax. When voted out of the W&M Committee it will go to the full House for a floor vote. There is already a companion bill S-13 in the Senate which must go through a similar process. More details will be provided as they become available...

Julie Grace Foster: Governor Mike Huckabee will be addressing the group. He endorsed Dave Camp for Congress, so this is looking very positive.

This is exciting news and we hope there is more to come. We must each send communications to the members of the Ways and Means Committee and follow that up with communications to our own elected officials. As another site says, "lets storm the hill"!

I'm glad to hear this, however I'm distressed to learn that one of my Republican Hero's, Paul Ryan is NOT on board with the FairTax. Instead, he's proposed another Modification of the existing tax rates to !0% for all those earning less than $50K and 25% for all above. ALSO, I haven't heard where TeaParty Heroine, Michelle Balkmann stands on The FairTax. If and unless she comes out (AS Herman CAin does) FOR it, I will not support her for President.
