Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

According to the national taxpayer advocate at the IRS, taxpayers and businesses spend about 7.6 billion hours a year completing returns; costs for complying with individual and corporate income tax requirements (in 2006) amounted to $193 billion; 60% of taxpayer‘s pay a tax preparer to complete their return while 22% purchase software; since 2001 there have been 3,250 changes to the tax code - an average of more than one a day; 500 changes last year alone; the tax code surpasses 3.7 million words and 67,000 pages.
Americans are said to be innovative, imaginative, and creative. To prove this let’s implement a more fair way to fund the federal government. The Fair Tax will eliminate the time & costs mentioned above. The Fair Tax is a consumption tax that is fair to all income groups. The Fair Tax is not a Democrat or Republican plan. It is an American plan that is innovative and fair.
