Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I recently began my one person campaign of informing people about The Fair Tax in general and an upcoming presentation on April 17th near where I live by going door to door in my neighborhood passing out Fair Tax literature. Today I expanded into the downtown area of my town by going business to business. I was wondering if anyone else uses this technique and their results.

I will also be spreading the word at an April 17th tea party rally in Hartford, CT. I do have some Fair Tax literature sent to me from the Houston headquarters. I'm new to this process so any advice is appreciated.

I understand that canvasing like that is supposed to work pretty good.

I am very interested to know how this works for you. Please keep us up to date.
Correction: The Tea Party rally is April 15th.
I haven't gone door-to-door, but I am still stamping currency and every envelope I send out with my FairTax rubber stamp.

We've still got a long way to go. I was in San Francisco last weekend and stopped to get an Irish Coffee in Fisherman's Wharf. There were three of us sitting at the bar and I had put a couple dollars with "FairTax - Not Income Tax" stamped on them on the bar for a tip. Someone pointed out the dollars were stamped and the bar manager looked at it and said something along the lines of:

"Oh yeah. That's a Socialist scheme to tax the rich."

I guess that's progress. At least now some people are beginning to think it is a "tax the rich" scheme.

Way to go Dan!!! I'm just venturing into this way of informing the public in my community!!

What kind of things are you handing out to your neighbors? I bought "doorknob bags from a place on-line" and then bought recordable CD's and have been recording the "It's Time" CD from AFFT, I also created an "About me" blurp and had some business cards made up at www.vistaprint.com You can see a picture of them and use the same wording and card for yours (best to keep them uniform). Every "one" person that gets educated and joins us here on FairTaxNation is one more person ready for the FairTax Revolution!!!

The other information I found and LOVE is that shared on the "main" page of FTN...scroll to the bottom and there are "7" options that share how that group of people would benefit with the FairTax legislation. When you print out one there is actually enough for 3 double-sided hand outs.

Keep up getting the word out!!
Great Job Jamie! Very creative ideas. My strategy is more low tech. I am passing out fliers that includes an overview of The Fair Tax and an announcement of a Fair Tax presentation to occur on April 17th at a nearby high school. A senior at the high school emailed me last September explaining she needs to fulfill a requirement to do a project and chose to do a presentation of The Fair Tax. I have guided her through the process of contacting the necessary people among other suggestions and she's taken it from there. The guest speaker will be former AFFT Executive Director Tom Wright I am now am handing out her fliers. I will make modifications to the flier after the presentation and continue the door to door campaign. I'll take a look at the handouts on the bottom of the home page. Thanks for the information and keep pounding the pavement!
I am a one person on the ground running campaigner also. I think we need more of this. If I am out of fliers I just ask people to go to fairtax.org or call 1-800-fairtax. Then I ask them to call or write their congressperson and do what I do. I am now working on getting small businesses to let me leave literature, I have one dry cleaners so far. The libraries remove the item too soon sometimes. Keep up the good work!
