Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Proposed 28th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution: The Fair Tax Amendment

How does this sound for a draft of the 28th Amendment to the Constitution?

Judge Deborah’s Proposed Fair Tax Amendment

Section 2. The direct taxation of any corporation, small business, farming operation or private enterprise is hereby prohibited.

Now all you attorneys, advocates and activists have something to work on!

Feel free to take this humble legal secretary's work and refine it, but don't change it too much!

We like HR 25 just like it is!

P.S. -- I think the actual Fair Tax legislation outlines whether we have 6 months or 2 years to fully comply with this law. Please correct me if I'm wrong!

The Rate is defined as 23% in section 101 of the bill. It changes later, but I'm not sure how it is calculated. I think it needs to be adjusted to go down a certain percentage each year herafter.

Joshua, I love that idea! Let's write a 2% tax decrease every year until we get it down to 0%. Then Congress can play the stock market to fund their pet pork projects. If they don't do well there, oh well, then they're out of luck! Sounds good to me!
A Fair Tax would be the solution against the oppressive and confiscatory income tax that we presently have.
Would to God that we could get rid of it. The first thing that will probably have to be gotten rid of is congress.
They are bloated hogs who gorge themselves on our money. They not only are confiscating other people's money for their failed social programs, they are also stealing it for their own pockets and livelihoods...look at their salaries, their perks, their own special health care insurance, their retirement pay...most come to congress middle-class and leave as millionaires! They won't give that up without a fight, and they will have the MS media on their sides. We must make this our next battle in our individual states---to turn the incumbents, especially those who are or vote with the socialists and left-wing northeasterns and Californians, to turn them out to pasture where they can no longer harm us by their un-American votes. Of course this does not apply to all of them, but they are precious and few, as you know. I am ready to rid my state of my two senators and three of the representatives, who are aligned with the left for the most part---that would be ARkansas! I hope that we are able to defeat them in 2010 at the ballot box. Right now one or two are vulnerable.

The only way we can get anything accomplished in our nation is to number 1--pray; number 2---be relentless and vigilant in our determination; number 3---convince the fence-sitters and the complacent to become involved in this fight, so that we can get rid of the dead-weight incumbents in congress; number 4--support each other and keep these conservative and anti-tax sites going and growing . I don't mean to sound pessimistic---I am not. But I just think we had best be as wise as we can, be on constant guard, make sure that any bills we submit have no "dangling chads" for them to come back on us and scream RE-COUNT!!
Isn't it funny that for the first time in a century, Chris Dodd's seat is looking a lot shaky? (After he had to admit that he and Turbo Tax Tim Geithner both had a little something to do with those AIG Executive bonus!) I'm praying that we knock the kingpin out of his seat.
