Tax cuts that only affect the top 5% should have put the final nail in the coffin of ignorant, bigoted, close-minded, Jesus freaks years ago.
Freebies for the ever increasing dependent should win every election hands down.
The promise of entitlements from trust fund babies...easy sell.
One claims to free you from the government and has the audacity (sorry to steal BHO’s word) to ask for responsibility from EVERY citizen.
The other works to expand the size and scope of government and ask for the same thing...responsibility.
The only thing is...one is asking for EVERY citizen to pick up a shovel and dig, while the other says...not everyone was given shovels, good shovels, or instruction on how to use the shovels properly and some of you get tired easy so we are going to make some be MORE responsible while you sit and watch.
I just wonder when the sitters will outnumber the diggers? Ah...liberal utopia.
Think if we could run off the greedy rich jerks of the world...most pollution we be gone. No greed. No wars. No obscene profits by shameless oil companies (at the disgusting government regulated 9% margin they screw us on). No SUV’s. Wait, this sounds like Switzerland minus the needed four wheel drive.
I scratch my head wondering why ignorant hayseeds keep voting for rich people that only received their wealth because of daddy or on the backs of us in the middle and lower income bracket.
Don’t they understand that if they would just sit on the sidelines and wait for rich people to handle things...
The hard undeniable truth?
40% of our population DOES NOT pay Federal Income tax.
The top 5% that we love to hate do not pay FULL Federal Income tax...everything is a write off. But I can’t hate on them too bad...they do pay something.
Let me be clear...I am sick of guys like John Thain decorating his office with taxpayer funds to the tune of 1.2 million dollars.
I am sick of companies that “look good on paper” suddenly tanking...on paper...then a week later send their exec’s to Pebble beach for a “sales meeting” on our dime.
For the first time in my life, I am beginning to lose faith in the stock market.
I am losing faith in our dollar as it will continue to lose considerable value since our worst President ever--Bush signed the bank nationalization act at the end of his term.
Then it goes from worse to more of the same when and the all knowing, all powerful, all caring, Comrade Obama follows in Bush’s footsteps by signing the entitlement act of 2009.
Both are equally embarrassing! Both only take money from us...not the poor that don’t pay Federal Income tax, and not the top 5 percenter.
I was chatting with a friend online the other day (a democrat) and he asked me if I would have been for more tax cuts in the Porkulus bill Comrade Obama is signing???
Was he serious?
Are we all secretly on the same team and the Democrat/Republican tags are now outdated?
Are Democrats really for the working man or the non-working man?
Are Republicans really for the rich or do they truly want to help the middle class by shrinking government but then do the opposite?
When we get to the magic number...50%...when truly half of our population does not pay Federal Income tax, we are finished as a nation.
“To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.” — Thomas Jefferson, letter to Joseph Milligan, April 6, 1816
It sounds really good when the rich guy forsee’s a tax increase and begins to let his private sector employee’s go, and a politician gets in front of us and says “don’t worry...we’ll just create 4 million new public jobs.”
I keep wondering why everyone across the country in unison doesn’t stand up and say “with what money?”
4 million public sector jobs do not equal 4 million private sector jobs...sorry...my government school education won’t even allow me to make that stretch?
For the one hundredth time...you can’t change social/economic class by saying to some people “I know you are carrying 50 pounds in your backpack and others can only carry 10 pounds...you are strong...let me take five from them and give you 5 more...you can handle it...it is only fair.”
I am tired of people saying...”we need jobs” but vote for people that don’t encourage private sector job creation.
The public sector cannot make it without the private sectors dollars.
You can’t take money from people and expect them to go out and start a company?
You can’t take money from people and expect them to still keep the same number of people employed at their business?
You can’t continue to invent new tax after new tax and lop it onto a business owner and at some point not expect him to operate his business overseas where they welcome his innovation?
If polled would people that can’t wait to get their $500-$800 extra this year via entitlements not rather have more jobs to earn that much more every MONTH at their jobs or would they just take the extra one time check?
I seriously doubt Sam Walton started Wal-mart in Arkansas on the premise that he needed to find work for unemployed people. Ditto that for Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, and Bill Gates.
Please...read the fair tax plan...this is something all middle class taxpayers, Democrat and Republican, can rally around, the only people that hate it--Politicians.
“When the people find they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic”. — Benjamin Franklin
“One of the annoying things about believing in free will and individual responsibility is the difficulty of finding somebody to blame your problems on. And when you do find somebody, it's remarkable how often his picture turns up on your driver's license.” — P.J. O'Rourke”
