SIGNING UP here on FTN is not the only step, but the FIRST STEP!

Let me just give you a brief introduction if you are new to the ning site.

TABS ACROSS THE TOP

Main...like the "home" page

Invite: if you want to send an invite to FairTax Supporters you know to join FTN

MyPage:  This is where you can personalize your page with videos, pictures, discussions/blogs, it also shows you what groups you have joined, your friends and the recent activity you've had.

Freedom Ride FairTax Supporters who promote FairTax through their love of biking.

Events

Communicate: Has a drop down menu to choose a communication choice

Groups: EVERY STATE HAS A GROUP, JOIN YOURS TODAY!!

If you want to be recieving updates from your state or congressional district's groups you must join those groups.  Signing up on FTN does not automatically add you to any groups.  So if you haven't joined a group you are missing out on the emails sent to the members of those groups.  You can also join groups and opt via your settings to NOT get any emails.

Members: This is where you can search for people on this site or see who are our most recent members

Pics & Vids Self-explanatory & lots of fun to look through!

BOX on Right hand side "under Pics" Vids

This is where you can see if you have received any email, a friends request and most importantly SETTINGS...this will enable you to change your default picture, decide what notifications you want to recieve etc.

Donations: piryx here on FTN the funds go to help fund National events.

Bottom RIGHT side of your tool bar you should see the words

"FairTax Nation Chat" / # Online

What this lets you know is how many are also logged on and are able to CHAT/IM (instant message).  By going to the right a bit more you will see 3 icons

1st ICON (a triangle with a line over it = click once & a chat box will open that doesn't enable you to toggle between screens, click a second time and the chat box will close)

2nd ICON is the chat window that enables you to toggle between screens...if we will ALL getin the habit of opening this window when we log on we will soon be chatting with FairTax Supporters all over the USA.

3rd ICON will show GREEN that you are online click on it and it will go to RED  

that you aren't online.

I hope this has helped you get a tad more aquainted with the site so networking isn't quite so intimidating!!!
