The AFFT idea is there is a DD for each congressional district within each state. They help the community coordinators organize activities and help them not be competing activities but rather help each other out. They help put the pressure on the Rep from the district on a regular basis, contacting the Congressional office on regular basis etc. They spend a lot of time keeping abreast of the activities being conducted within their district and work to obtain materials from AFFT to be used at the activites.
