Wow!! Had a great meeting this month. New folks, a good size crowd, and a lot to talk about. Even had a couple of local bigwigs there. Long way to go in getting the FairTax passed, but these meetings help. Please pass meeting dates and places on to friends and family in your area. Education IS really important.
Also had a great column by our state director (Steve Curtis) in Saturday's Fairborn Daily Herald. Don't forget to check out www.ohfairtax.org for new columns.
Have a great week everyone!
Had a small but good meeting tonight at Roush's. I was really pleased considering I did no announcing anywhere for this meeting. Need to do a flash event soon folks now that better weather is here. Look for a place and time soon!
Well, April saw the smallest crowd of the year so far.....but it was lively. We discussed a lot of different things and had a good meal. Already looking forward to next months meeting. And looking forward to scheduling in some speakers. Next meeting, May 15, same place, same time. Hope to see you all there!
1.Second column in one week on the FairTax in our local paper (the Fairborn Daily Herald). I've posted it here.
2.We have a new business sporting the FairTax sign in Fairborn.
3.We have a meeting scheduled for this coming Wednesday. Its a 6:30 p.m. and will be at Roush's Restaurant located at 305 W. Main St.
4.We need to be contacting those guys in Washington and letting them know they work for us!
Fairborn Daily Herald had Steve's great FairTax column in today's editorial section. Please use it to point out to your more liberal minded friends that the FairTax is good for ALL Americans. There wa another column on the editorial page regarfing taxws written by Sen. Brown as well. Hope to see some of you next Wednesday!
Wanted to share that we had a great FairTax meeting Wednesday night. New guests, great conversation, and the promise of more good things to come. Our local paper (the Fairborn Daily Herald in Fairborn, Oh.) has been doing well covering the tax reform issue on their editorial/opinion page with commentaries and letters to the editor. How are you all doing in your area?
Earlier last week we had a great column on the FairTax in our local newspaper. There was a response from a local citizen who liked it, but didn't think it could happen. So in today's local paper there were three letters to the editor in vocal support of the FairTax. Through it all, nary a word about politics. Check us out here in Ohio. Our legislators may not be listening YET, but our citizens are!
Had a response to our state director's column in the local paper. This is a good thing although the writer did not agree with us. It is a good thing because it shows there is an interest in tax reform out there. Unfortunately, this gentleman seems to be giving up on not only tax reform, but the country as well. We'll be writing a response and hopefully, the paper will print it. Don't forget our March meeting. It will be on march 20th.
Smaller meeting tonight than last month, but very lively. Thanks to those who came out and mage it a fun time. Lots of work to do and we need everyones help. Look forward to seeing more folks at the next meeting.
FairTax gets another mention on "the Five" by Eric Bolling. I'm a happy clam and let them know we appreciate it.
Could use others to do the same and maybe they'll talk about it some more.
