Just want to remind everyone we will NOT have a Fairborn FairTax meeting this month. It is a time for family and reflection. Connie and I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas with all your desires fullfilled. And have a safe and happy New Year. And we hope you will rejoin us in 2012.

The Fairborn Daily Herald has published the tax issue in their editorial section three days in a row. I think they get it folks. Nov. 18, 19, and 22 all had columns, one of which was our FairTax column.  Kudos to our local newspaper for keeping the issue in our faces.

Folks, One thing I failed to mention along with my message about Steve's column was the column that appeared the day before. It was also about tax reform and approached the issue by saying the rich need to pay their "fairshare" and corporations need to pay more taxes. This is the mentality we are up against. And we need to keep spreading the word far and wide. Look for these types of columns in your local papers and respond to them. Let them know that the "rich" already pay their "fairshare" and then some. Let them know that by taxing corporations, we are simply adding taxes to ourselves. And let them know we all need a "fairshare" in supporting our government. I'll look for a way to put that column on here even if I have to type it in one word at a time.

In the meantime, be sure to visit www.ohfairtax.org and read up on the many great columns our stae director has written. Share them far and wide and lets really make an even larger push for the FairTax in 2012.

Great FairTax column in Saturday's Fairborn Daily Herald. "FairTax and democrats". May I suggest visiting www.ohfairtax.org and read up on the many columns that our state director Steve Curtis has written. You can find them under FairTax facts on the Ohio site. While you're there, join the "five for five" plan.

I tried to reference the Ohio FairTax site on Facebook's "End Class Warfare" page, but was denied because our State Director  has to strong of views for them. So please pass it on from here.

Folks, If you wish to discuss the FairTax with the left in an attempt to educate them, may I suggest the Facebook page "End Tax Warfare".

Its a good sight if you can stand the brickwall mentality of the left. And someone needs to do it (lol). I tried, but don't have the patience for it.

Had a great FairTax meeting tonight at Roush's. We went over what we had done this year and what we needed to work on for next year. Just a couple of things.

The Fairborn Daily Herald (our local paper) has run the FairTax column for seven months now almost every single week. The paper has also printed almost every single Letter to the Editor that we have sent in.

THANK YOU FAIRBORN DAILY HERALD!!!!!!

Five for Five has been pretty succesful and has allowed us to do radio ads for the first time.

We have four local business in Fairborn displaying the FairTax Sign. I am encouraging FairTax supporters to support those that suport us.

For next year we talked about increasing the participation in the "Five for Five" program, doing more flash events, getting back into manning booths and participating in parades, and maybe even having a FairTax block party.

One thought expressed by our State Director Steve Curtis was the need to increase support in each congressional district across the country to three thousand per district. So that should be our goal here in Ohio. I know we can do this folks, but we gotta get to work and we need your help.

Our next meeting will be Jan. 18, same place, same time.

I'd like to take this opportunity to say Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas to all. May the family gatherings bring you the joy and happiness that it does in our family.

God Bless,

Frank Gilbert

FAIR TAX REPRESENTATIVE INVITED TO TESTIFY

BEFORE
JOINT ECONOMIC COMMITTEE

Americans for Fair Taxation (AFFT) has been invited to testify at a Joint Economic Committee hearing on
“How U.S. Tax Policy Affects Business Investment and Job Creation” at 10 a.m., Thursday, November 17.

AFT Chairman Leo Linbeck Jr. said a letter of invitation to testify before the committee was sent by JEC Vice
Chairman Kevin Brady (R-Texas).

Economist Dan Mastromarco will testify on behalf of AFFT.

“We welcome the opportunity to discuss the FairTax proposal with members of Congress,” Linbeck said.
“The FairTax would be the single best law that Congress could pass to create jobs and give our economy a permanent boost.

“We also would like to discredit the misplaced criticism that a national sales tax like the FairTax would
unfairly impact middle class families.

“In fact, the FairTax specifically ‘untaxes’ the poor and lowers middle class tax burdens while allowing every wage earner to take home paychecks without federal withholding or payroll taxes deducted.

“We look forward to a fair hearing in the Congress where we will have the opportunity to describe the many
benefits of FairTax to the informed members of the Joint Economic Committee and
answer any questions.”

Americans For Fair Taxation was formed
in 1995. It is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, grassroots organization solely
dedicated to replacing the current tax system with a progressive national
retail sales tax, a “prebate” to ensure no American pays federal taxes on
spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality,
and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment.

Just recieved news that Senator Portman's spokeswoman will not be able to join us on the 16th for our meeting. She sends her regrets and hopes we can schedule another time. I hope some of you will still come out as this will be our last meeting until January of 2012 and there is still stuff to be talked about and do.
