We are looking for volunteers to staff a FairTax booth at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference April 8 - 11, 2010. Most SRLC events will be held in the New Orleans Riverside Hilton, located at 2 Poydras Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Confirmed speakers include Haley Barbour, Newt Gingrich, Bobby Jindal, Sarah Palin, Tim Pawlenty, Mike Pence, Rick Santorum and more.

We need your help for a few hours to the entire event!

Please contact me if you can help!!!

Thanks,
Marilyn

I received the same form letter in response to my messages to Rep. Aderholt; most of the letter telling me what the FairTax plan would do (which I already know). He misses our point completely when he says he'll vote for it if it comes to the house floor. Daaahhh, how is it supposed to get to the house floor without leadership by sponsors, many sponsors, pushing for it to come to the floor. He clearly is not representing District 4 constituents' view on this issue, and as we all believe, there is no more important issue than this to command his due attention. The solution is to find a candidate who WIll represent us.

He is exactly the type of legislator we need to fire! It's not about him; it's about whom he works for -us! If he wants to play it safe then he can do that back on the farm- not on our dime. We need to help him clean out his desk ASAP. That's the downside of feeling bullet proof in DC and why term limits need to happen sooner than later or nothing will ever change. Things so critical such as FaitTax will never stand a chance with fence sitters like Aderholt. Shelby is another one that will dodge the bullet this time around too.

He will not do anything to risk his career! If he were at all serious he could go to FairTax.org and get his position on this issue changed from opposed to a more neutral category - at least. Apparently he is confident in his strong political backing and feels he does not need us.

Enjoyed my first FT meeting. It's time for citizens to take back their government. Passing the FT bill will be the first challenge in doing so.
