Suggested Letter to your Senator, Congressman or Editor about a VAT

Here is a suggested letter to your Senator, Congressperson or Editor. If Congress passes a VAT to pay for health care, the FairTax will be in serious trouble.

Dear [Senator][Congressperson]

DON’T EVEN THINK about a VAT unless you are willing to consider the FairTax! (HR.25, S.296).

A VAT on top of today’s taxes would kill the economy.

The FairTax would REPLACE income taxes (corporate and individual), estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes, and payroll taxes. The FairTax, unlike a VAT, would super-charge the economy. It is also transparent, efficient and Fair.

[Congressman] [Senator] your answer to even the suggestion of a VAT must be a RESOUNDING NO! Make sure the VAT is dead on arrival.
