Welcome to the Launch of the New Jersey site on FairTaxNation

FairTax Nation is an outgrowth of the effort started last year to devolve and decentralize the grassroots effort in order to make it stronger. Illinois Sate Director Marylin Rickert had the domain name and contributed it to the cause. This effort is not in competition with the Houston organization but complementary to it. We need the national organization to remain strong.

This site is an experiment, and we are not abandoning the Yahoo Group at this time. Until now we had been relying on Yahoo Groups, which in essence are centralized address lists. Yahoo Groups have been serving their purpose, but they do have limitations. I understand that, with a tool such as this one, we can centralize the database and have more targeted mailings. Individuals should be able to reply to individuals without flooding the entire group with a message. People should be able to upload files and post events (which also is possible with Yahoo Groups). Calls to action should be easier to manage, and feedback to management should be improved. People can comment and blog without flooding others' e-mail in-boxes unnecessarily. Finally, individual states can have their own websites.
