As usual our leaders of both parties are stuck on stupid. For over a decade now, we've had a solution for a tax policy that would jumpstart the economy. It's called the FairTax. It would be a paradigm shift in thinking about taxes, in that it removes all roadblocks to production, by taxing consumption instead of income. Alternative solutions such as the VAT, the Hall-Rabushka Flat Tax and others, amount to tinkering at the margins of our totally discredited and counterproductive Income Tax.
