Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I just emailed Carol over at www.grassrootsfreedomride.com to ask her about obtaining FairTax materials. As soon as I get a reply, I'll post further info here.

No response yet. I'm thinking with it being a holiday weekend that perhaps she's out of town and hasn't checker her email yet. I guess we just need to be more patient.
I got a reply. See below:

Hi Premo,

We do offer our chapters assistance with supplies for their groups. If you go to our website, we explain what we're about and what we offer our chapter captains. Chapters do not need to organize around biking - but a fun pasttime can help find supporters and bring visibility to FairTax.

We'll be traveling through TN early in June for the HOG rally in Murphreesboro. We have our itinerary posted. If you're on our route, let us know - maybe we can set up a time to meet.

I did some checking and it costs $25 to create our own chapter. When you go to do the sign-up, it takes you to FairTax.org, so they're pretty much joined at the hip it would seem. If that's true, then I'm guessing all their materials will be FairTax.org materials, not just "generic" FairTax materials.

I see at least two problems if we go this route. #1: The same old FairTax.org dilemma aand #2: We'd have to come up with a Chapter name and name a Captain for our chapter. As we can't seem to come up with a name for our group and/or a "leader", we'd need to take care of these two items before we considered becoming a chapter of GRFR. Right?

I think I'll revive the group name and leadership discussion thread and see if make any progress there. In the meantime, I'll take the next few days to see if we can find an alternative to getting materials elsewhere at a reasonable price.
