Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I mentioned this in the Tea Party thread, but thought it might have gotten overlooked.

Are we having a meeting in July?

Are we going to have a "joint" meeting with the group that was mentioned?

How many new folks did we get contact info for at the Tea Party?

Have they been invited to the July Meeting? If not, is there a plan to do that?

The way I understood it was that we were going to visit the RLC meeting on the 16th - which I am planning to do - but that there would not be a regular SERFTC meeting in either July or August nor would we be sending out invitations regarding the RLC meeting. Let me know if there is any change in plans, I am flexible.

We got about 108 signatures on the petitions, about 30 or so were from outside the area (North Carolina, Cohutta, Alabama, Atlanta) or simply didn't include an eMail address. I have all but finished entering the info in a spreadsheet and should have the list completed before Monday. I thought the plan here was to send on an "introduction" email and then follow-up with regular SERFTC invitations those folks who don't "unsubscribe."
We are not meeting with the other guys this month. They have a speaker, and he didn't invite us to make a presentation. - But yes - we should meet, because we've invited folks to attend. Don't you agree?
108 signatures? Fantastic! Considering there was probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 people at the Tea Party, that's terrific!

I know that we had planned on NOT having a SERFTC meeting this month, but that was before we got all those folks at our tent during the Tea Party. I'd hate to waste the momentum from the Tea Party, so I think we should go ahead and have our regular meeting, if possible and invite all the new folks that we can by email.

For those without email, we could use postcards. Nothing fancy, just a simple reminder of the meeting, etc. If the meeting is THIS Thursday (3rd Thursday, right), then mailing them out tomorrow might be cutting it close. If the emails went out tomorrow, that should be fine for those folks.

I'm thinking that anyone who is within 30-45 minutes of Chattanooga should get an invite (those without email). If we've got their email, I say send it out to everyone, regardless of where they live, or if they're really far away, email them and ask if they'd like for us to try and locate a local FairTax Chapter for them in their area.

Any chance we can get all the email addresses added to our "mailing list" that I think Miki has been working on?
I didn't know anything about our not attending RLC meeting on the 16th so are we going to try to have a regular SERFTC meeting in July? I don't have any meeting room reserved or any sort of announcement in the works for the regular 3rd Thurs time. Do I need to get busy? I don't know about actually mailing any notices out this time around but I can get the local names from the petitions included with the FTN invitation list in fairly short order. I just hate to give such short notice. Rather than that, would anyone be interested in maybe trying Tuesday, the 21st?

Let me know so I can get busy.
I think changing the meeting time might be a mistake. Even if only three of four of us are there, I know I will go, so that people don't come and see nothing.
Guys, I'll call Ryan's today to see if they still have one of their rooms available, will let you know and will plan to be there if it's available. Altho I'm a little concerned about the impression/impact of competing meetings/missions/turn-outs, I do understand about being where we said we'd be when we said we'd be there. Check back here after 10:30 and I should know by then whether we'll have a room.
Ryan's does not have a room available for Thurs., July 16th.
Something's come up and I'm not going to be able to make it to the RLC Meeting.
