I agree about the FTN logo. In my opinion, we should use the logo and color scheme as much as possible so people will start to relate the FairTax to that brand. I could see how someone not familiar with the FT might think people are referring to “a fair tax” instead of “the FairTax” - a specific tax plan. Also, we could get a banner that can be used at other events and even the monthly meetings.
I agree - I'll see about getting the FTN logo on the banner. Don't worry about the cost of the tent, it's my contribution to the cause.
Hey - I have a question. Micki is producing minutes of our meeting, and creating agenda's for future meetings. Initially - she thought it would be good to post them here, but I had concerns that "formal" minutes and agenda didn't really fit the blog nature of this format.
What's the best? Inserting minutes and agendas, or keeping the discussion free-form here?
The 2 ft by 9 ft banner is about $80 plus shipping. Twice what a plain black letter on yellow canvas banner costs, but this full color graphic is going to pull a lot more people, and is easily worth the extra cost.
Wow! That thing's pretty. BTW......we all need to "belly up to the bar" and reimburse Larry for the money he's already spent on the tent and the banner. It's got to be close to $200 bucks, so we can't leave him hanging on an expense like that. Let's not forget to take up a collection or whatever at the next meeting.
I appreciate the thought Premo, but I don't think it's fair to ask others to chip into something they didn't have a chance to vote for or veto. I assumed it was my donation to the cause, and I'm fine with that. Thanks though for the thought. - LS
