Fair Tax Nation

Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

More than anything, we first need a high profile National spokesperson, like a Sarah Palin, to get our message out to the uninformed general public.  What percentage of the voting public do you believe could realistically articulate the principals of the Fair Tax?  10% would be a real stretch as far as I'm concerned.

Remember this is the same country in which 12% of college students in a 2002 poll thought Dick Cheney was a professional baseball player!!!  I'd like to think they were thinking of former Washington Senators pitcher Tom Cheney , but he retired in the mid 60's or about twenty years before most of them were born.

Secondly , until we can put a 20 minute CD (any longer and we would lose half of them), complete with smiley faces and music, into the hands of every registered voter (English, Spanish) in the United States, we have a better chance of attaining peace in the middle east then passing the Fair Tax.

PS - You might want to give every 5,000th viewer who later registers at Fair Tax Nation, concert tickets or a MLB, NFL, NHL or NBA cap...

Tom,

You are correct about Rush and he has indeed spoken out in favor of the Fair Tax as have several other folks that are well known.

Doug,

I wasn't speaking to the people who don't vote in National, State or local elections, but rather the 69,456,897 people who voted for an Obama in 2008, based on absolutely nothing or how about the 35,480,115 who voted for a Jimmy Carter in 1980 after gas lines, double-digit inflation (10.4% annually when Reagan took office), a high of 21.5% interest rates, an Iranian Hostage Crisis.  The people who don't vote are of no concern to me, but the UNINFORMED idiots that do  and understand nothing, scare me to death....  I believe it was HL Mencken who once said, "There's no underestimating the intelligence of the American public."  Amen!!!

Larry,

I like both Herman and Mike (I also liked Dole and McCain personally) , but do you truly think either of these individuals are potentially spokespersons or leaders on a National level???  Sorry, but I don't see it. One is a fringe single digit candidate who has never won a single election, while the other is not even a candidate!!!   If a Rush Limbaugh were to get involved, the Fair Tax would become a reality within the next election cycle.

A good chunk of those people you mentioned are the same people who don't even vote, let alone know about the Fair Tax.  Either way, those people are irrelevant.  If they don't vote, they might as well not even exist.
