Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

I strongly urge all Tea Party Organizers to NOT allow ANY politician or candidate for office to be listed on ANY agenda to speak.

I strongly urge all Tea Party Organizers to NOT allow ANY politician or candidate for office to be listed on ANY agenda to speak.

There are plenty of opportunities for politicians to promote their candidacy "on the ground" mingling with citizens if they desire to attend a Tea Party, but should NOT be permitted a "venue" to speak on the platform of the Tea Party Movement.

The Tea Party Movement was never intended to be a platform for future politicians, it is a movement compelling GOVERNMENT officials, prospective or current to LISTEN to our concerns or be voted out.

If within the Tea Party Movement, there are promoters of candidates of their choice, let them organize rallies for those particular candidates. Letting politicians speak at the Tea Party is not beneficial to the cause as a whole. Let the Tea Party Movement Serve to wake people up and as a teaching tool for those who are not familiar with politics and government. Don't let the politicians step up to the podium to take advantage of the captive audience who is open to learn.

The politicians are AFRAID of this movement, which is educating people who would otherwise NOT have an interest or concern about America and what AMERICANS can do if they UNITE.

This is how we are doing the MidSouth Tea PArty events. So far we have resisted each candidate who has proposed to speak. I think we may have slightly smaller crowds but the whole point in these tea parties is that WE the people are supposed to be talking to Washington and not the other way around.

I agree with you Cheryl.

I would rather have them LISTEN instead of constantly talking. I would rather hear from REAL people with REAL jobs with COMMON SENSE solutions. Someone who has only held some sort of office is typically out of touch with his or her constituents.

The only solace is that the tea party attendees are not uninformed and will hold these "representatives" accountable. Recall this reaction to a politician at a tea party: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QsY2r7HbTM.

Remember, the Republicans spent our tax money when they were in control. If anything, give the mic to Libertarian candidates. They are the only party that values ECONOMIC FREEDOM and PERSONAL FREEDOM, true SMALL government.

I guess nobody listened to you Cheryl. Seems like more than half the speakers at the Orlando TEA Party were politicians. I must admit I did enjoy hearing some of them, especially U.S. Senate Candidate, Marco Rubio. He was pretty good and I know he supports the Fair Tax.
