In defense of capitalism

We hear much these days about how immoral capitalism is because it encourages greed avarice and dishonesty in pursuit of riches. I believe there is some truth in this. The fault though lies in people's character, not in capitalism. In fact, the key difference in this regard between capitalism and statism is that in a capitalistic system the greedy, avaricious, and dishonest must answer to the people and the government while in a statist system (creeping socialism, fascism,communism) these people are the government.
