Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25

Many times, when I'm in a discussion about the FairTax, people say that they have more important - or more urgent - things to be concerned with. I guess they don't understand all the things that the FairTax will affect. I usually ask them what's more important...jobs? The economy? The deficit? And then I try to explain how the FairTax will imrpove the employment situation, the economy, etc., thereby leaving time to focus on other issues. I'd like to know if others have run into this objection and how you handle it.

Last night at our Tea Party meeting, our leader lamented for an extended time about our 2-1/2 year attempt to acheive 501c4 status (still not approved), and the difficulties with the IRS in the pursuit. Obviously, the FairTax would solve that problem, but most people believe that the tax-exempt status is more urgent than getting the FairTax passed. I wanna slap 'em! But I'm sure there's a better way!

What say you?

I feel the same as you, Bill. To me, the FairTax should be #1 on everybody's list. I strongly believe that this one cause, this one mission we are on, will positively benefit and affect every other issue that makes up the whole of America.

Furthermore, I firmly believe that if we were to enact the FairTax now, we - as a Nation - would look at everything we do differently.

I am so enamoured with the FairTax that I have a difficult time not thinking about it and how it can change the lives of every person in the entire world. Yes, I believe enacing the FairTax here in the USA will positively affect ~7,000,000,000 people. And it all boils down to one word: Benevolence.
