Why buy American?
The consumer must have the freedom to purchase the best product at a fair market price. However, there are consequences to those choices. Our loved ones fought to repress communism during the 1950's, 1960's and now most of our dollars are supporting imports that move manufacturing and jobs out of the United States. American made furniture is far superior to the "off shore products", performs better and last longer than furniture made in countries that exploit labor to unsafe conditions. Now we are learning the real cost of importing far too many of our goods. Communist manufactures are also protecting North Korea's military dictatorship and letting them build nuclear weapons while at the same time limiting US exports. Americans work in safe conditions that meet OSHA standards and refuse the sweat shop mentality. American companies and the consumer are now feeling the long term effect of investing too many dollars abroad. It is time for Americans to start supporting Americans. 4/3/2009
