Replace All Federal Taxes on Income with the Fair Tax Act , HR 25
Tonight the call came...
Hello, This is so and so from Congressman Hasting's and we would like you to donate $75 for his campaign. Me...choke, choke, choke...gasp, deep breath.
To which I shared I had a bone to pick and explained the FairTax and that due to his uncosponsorship of the legislation I will NOT be donating to his campaign and if there were someone running against him who endorsed the FairTax that person would have my vote.
"But he is for less spending and ... and.... and.... (Charlie' Brown's teacher's voice kicks in here)" to which I replied that is well said, but he has no actions behind his words as he has yet to cosponsor HR25.
They suggested I contact him....oh I have for 3 yrs.!! I then zipped out a note here on FTN letting others know they too may get a call and should take the opportunity to share their concern for his lack of support via co-sponsorship of the FairTax legislation. Hmmm wonder how many will actually do it?!!!
I made the caller a deal that if he called Congressman Linder and cosponsored the FairTax I'd donate $50. Bet me he has bigger lobbying hands in his pocket than little ol' me.
