We know you could not make it but we did very good with the quality of people here at the meeting. We had 5 representatives from 5 different groups. We made the top story on one of the t.v. station so over all I felt good about the start here. I wish you could have been there. If you go to My Page on my profile and read my story FairTaxSOWEGA 1st Public Meeting Spelled is Success. You can see the news clip from both t.v. station , Fox 31 has a video clip. Hi Mike,
I found Charlie at another Ning site and then joined his site for SW Georgia. I went to the meeting yesterday and I am excited about being a part of the grassroots effort.

Hello Mike:
How is the Global Warming in North Georgia? Warm enough? I got an idea and it worked out pretty good, I talk to Gene about it and after I had a meeting with Allen Page Southeastern Regional Director for FreedomWorks from North Carolina. He was here in Albany Saturday as he is forming a group of FreedomWorks in which Donna will be their Coordinator, Their main objective will be working on Property Taxation, they alone with our group will work with each other as we work on FairTax. Gene like the Idea and I thought you may would like to think about maybe working with FreedomWorks in your area. I am working on another Idea on a national level which is included with taxation. As we get started with this group we will pass this on to you and FairTax Nation.
Another idea I came up with is I will be working with a young High School man on the HuckPAC National Volunteer Team as I will be the leader for Lee County and so will he. I want to work with our youth as in a few year they will be voting. I feel we need to include them in the due process of how we can create grassroots like FairTax. If we start with them now so they will never see what we has in our lifetime such disarray in the country and economy. My hope will be to have the youth inherent a country that is prosperous and free. Gene Key and I spent time on the phone and agree with what I am trying to do through FairTax. We can't change the country alone we need to get support through our effort and with others in their effort with grassroots.
I will talk to you soon,
Charlie

Hey Mike
How is the "Global Warming" in North Georgia? LOL , we are freezing in South Georgia.
I wanted to tell you we met with FreedomWorks new group that is forming here in Albany. They were meeting for the 1st time and putting together a group of people. Donna and I talked as she will be heading up as the Coordinator. I met with their Southeastern Regional Director Alan Page, and we will be working together as we will spread our work on FairTax and they are mainly working on Property Tax. I just giving you an idea to think about. Gene and I spent some time talking about this idea, he like it!

Michael, you can delete comments on your Comment Wall with the small "x" in the upper right hand corner. To help with your question about receiving notices of a message, etc. Note that in addition to the comment wall, you also have an inbox (upper right side) which have messages just to you - not on your comment wall. Also, you will receive messages when new friends are added and every time someone -friend or foe - posts something to one of your groups, etc.

You can save yourself a lot of lost time by controlling these and other system emails by going to your "settings" [Upper right hand side]. Click on Settings and a new window opens, on the left are four categories beginning with Profile and the last one is Email. Click on the email and a new window opens. Personally to cut down on emails not needed by me, I uncheck the following boxes: "messages sent to Groups I belong to, messages sent to the whole network, messages sent to all friends, I have new network content to approve, feedback and problem reports, and the last block- Follow discussions and blogs I reply to. In review, that leaves me with only seven blocks checked and what a relief in messages.

Also, this is important! So I don't get Everyone's comments posted to all the groups to which I belong (which can be overwhelming), I go to each of my groups, wait a few microseconds after the group opens and a block will open on the right of the groups description (or there about) which has the word "Follow." by clicking on the word Follow, it changes to "do not follow" "not following" or to some associated wording. Doing this means I will not receive an email from the group when someone else posts a comment to that group. If someone want to reach me they will contact me with a direct message or on my comment wall.

It is hard to explain in a note and took me some time to figure out. Please share with Marian. Please excuse typos and let me know if this helped. Regards, Bill
